finaly a comparison both are amazing i had the g8 ultrawide but i bought the g80sd.... is far more superior on 4k gaming the crisp on the image is unreal
I have the LG 34 with the most aggressive curve 800R, I purposely wanted the aggressive curve because this thing is massive on a desk. After hours of playing games and movies I came to a love hate relationship with it. It’s very immersive, but I constantly catch myself looking at the middle of the screen and the sides are laid to waste. To see the whole screen it would be best to mount it on the wall behind your desk, then you can see the edges of the screen, without turning your head and minimal eye effort. I thought this would be perfect for fps games but not on a desk! Movies and RUclips are annoying on 21:9, without an extension to stretch the image you’ll have 2 black bars and essentially be watch a 27inch image. , also game clips will have black bars on them. This was enough for me to say, this feels fun in ways but headache in other ways. I’m sending it back for the MSI 32 4k 240hz, this will look crispy and I won’t have to deal with 21:9 draw backs. Also not all games support the 21:9 aspect ratio, some that do are implemented poorly and it looks like a 16:9 that’s stretched. I’m good…
I definitely prefer 21:9 for PC gaming. I have both the LG C2 42 and 45GR95QE-B and still prefer playing on the latter as I find that the immersion impact of the aspect ratio is greater than the impact of simply having increased detail and fidelity due to a 4K image. As an added bonus, I also get better performance and framerate because it's not as taxing to my system.
Hi, are you still planning to do a review of the LG 27GR95UM? There's barely any out there, half of which in foreign languages and not enough coverage lol if so would love to see if you can do a comparison in SDR with LD on and OFF to see how much it improves every day tasks
I had both. then i sell my g85sd That curve was messing with my eyess and gave me headache even after a year And yes the 34 oled was so brighter but i think it was because of the glossy coating. I used that mostly on zero brightness But with this g80sd thats way too dark.
I intend to buy samsung g80sd and i wondering how to oled care work, its manualy or automatic? for example msi after 4 hour show massge to clean if i press no then will clean him self when the monitor turn off what about samsung? I dont seen anyone do or talk about this.
I have the G80sd I thought you should do a pixel refresh after using it for long times during the day. so I have done a few pixel refresh now I hear that is bad for the monitor is that true. should I be worried that I hurt the longevity or brightness of my monitor? I did buy the Best Buy 4 year replacement plan.
I just bought this monitor 2+ weeks ago for £500 and it is amazing. Only problem with mine is buzzing noises when monitor is dark/black scenes. I believe it is the same panel as the G8 aswell and the Alienware 34. Amazing for the price
@@danb5119 Yeah mine made buzzing sounds when powering on and off, and also would stay on standby if I didn't turn it off while the PC was still on. But watching movies and tv shows on plex/vlc where I can force 21:9 is lovely.

@@DisplayReality Hmm well good to know. did not know that but i saw other video before and look weird little bit of angle lol i think monitors 32:9 are only good when use dual monitor at same time use 16:9 in one monitor ultrawide 32:9

Not really. But in 16:9 regular ps5 mode its nice and bright. This samsung G8 Ultrawide has game motion for smoother ps5 gameplay if you needed that look. Its not perfect but I emjoy it. You can also do stetched ultrawide mode that sometimes looks ok again if you want that.

@DisplayReality
Asus XG27AQDMG WLOED or
Asus XG27ACDNG QD-OLED?
I plan to play in mostly in SDR and sometimes in HDR.
@FenixPajarito ACDNG.. its brighter in all modes. It looks more colorfull more overall impact.

Awesome video!!! Does the stand swivel? Also, are the HDMI ports actually big now? The SB version of the 34 inch ultra wide had a mini HDMI port
