Yes you can i have tried but main problem is that motion doesn't match perfectly. You have to make exact location for both live link and another camera who is capturing green screen actor which is very anoying and frustrating
Camtrack app can do that

Awesome tutorial. Had A few questions - 1. How can you take the camera Around a tree or any object.
2. Have you made a tutorial with people in the unreal engine ?
3. Will it need green screen or the camera can capture people that can be mixed with the unreal image.
4. Have you done a compositing scene with the unreal and green screen.
5. Would you need to track EXR footage in After Effects for compositing A Green Screen person ?

Hello sir, this is a fine tutorial, however we are struggling with the live link app. Whenever we press connect it says 'Error Couldn't connect : The request timed out.' Any help would be appreciated

For some reason I have the smartphone display in my final exr. rendering. (the grid, play and record button etc.)

Hi there, There is an easy solution to this(after 3days of trying) all you need to do is going to Vcam (self) details in outliner and untick the virtual camera enable box before your render.

Cool and it's mostly working, my scene has effects like thunder and lighting, rain and other sound effects, how do I get those to play like it does while playing in the viewport while simultaniously recoring the movement?

But it only works if both PC and Phone are accessing the internet on the same wifi right?
I have one additional idea for this app, can we add stream from main camera of phone (i.e person on greenscreen), add alpha color automatically and compose it with already generated scene? This can be useful for virtual production all-in-one system... and i hope in future we can generate 3D scene/enviroment by AI too (you give some sample by short record - with your position, distance, , lights, camera track - and with this information and prompts AI generate 3D scene for you)

Thank you Amit. Is there a way i can control the app via a physical keyboard or joystick as well when the Vcam ipad app is on ?
Update 1 : When you add an v-cam actor in 5.2 , it will automatically allow you control movement with your game controller.
Update 2 : For adding keyboard inputs , add a element to the v-cams modifier stack

Thanks but it doesn't work. I'm on Windows (Firewall is off), UE5.1, and iPhone 15. Under Live Link -> Source -> Message Bus Service, the mobile (iPhone 12) doesn't show up. I did follow all the steps mentioned in UE5 docs and here but it doesn't work. In the Dev community there's a thread (Live Link VCam - Couldn’t Connect), I did follow all the steps but it seems there's an issue here. Both mobile and PC are on the same wireless network.

Fantastic tutorial! However my rendered video is stuttering slightly, as though it's frame skipping? I've checked frame rate output and interpretation of the image sequence in AE but it seems as though the skipping is baked into the camera's recorded movement? Any ideas/solutions are very much appreciated!
This is awesome. I do have a question however. When I render, it comes with the overlay of the virtual camera which includes everything you see when you are recording the sequence (buttons wheels etc). I'm a little lost as to how to turn this off? Any ideas?
Only solution I found was to delete the VCam (Not VCAM recorded) from the map entirely. If there's any other option I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for this! :)

Try selecting the vcam component in your vcam actor and unticking the "Enabled" box

@@killtoby I pretty much gave up on this method, I found doing this in blender far easier, better, and very reliable.

It's in the video - you need an iPhone, then open Settings, go to WiFi, click the 'i' icon next to your connected WiFi, then if you scroll down on that page you get the IP address
