Idk why but whenever I try to make stars, the edges are not sharp like stars, looks more like a flower instead

It happens to me since I used thin yarn, maybe pinch the sides like i did?

You have to push all your rows closer together on your magic circle every time you complete a point and then close it up, if they're too far apart they'll be rounder

Maybe try loosening your tension on the yarn?

    🌟Written pattern🌟
    (Work inside magic ring) 1sc, 1dc, chain 2, 1 dc, 1 sc !
-Repeat until you have 5 star points and close the magic ring
❣️If you don't close it right away its easier to work with but you wont see the shape until closed.
❣️For more pointy shape you can block the corners with pins.

If I wanted to make the star larger would I keep going with the sc, dc, sc but start with a larger chain? (Idk if that made sense😂)
