- In this video I walk you through the changes with Cricut Design Space version 8.2.54 and then I show you 10 things that have never changed in Design Space.
This is why I strongly recommend that people learn to use the software, and learn what each and every button does! If you know this, then the changes and updates will not be as cumbersome.

Thank you so much for making this video! I purchased my Maker in 2019 and did nothing with it. Since then, Cricut has made an update to Design Space and the Beginner videos all reference the older version, making it difficult to keep up and locate features. You are a good instructor. Your video is straight to the point without added fluff to waste time, and your pitch and rate of speech is easy to follow as well. Highly recommended!

mine fails at the update... MacOS Sonoma. I have alsp probs with teh Siser Leonardo, so plotting sucks at the moment. Silhouette works, though.
My problem is that now it lags so bad I have not been able to use it in months and every time I call, no one came seem to tell me how to fix it. It is design space because it does the same on both computers.

So frustrated with the ipad app, now. I’ve used this for YEARS but now suddenly I can’t change material settings. Well…. after a bunch of troubleshooting, I CAN change them, and save, but it still cuts with the default settings, not my settings. Every time. I’ve wasted SO MUCH LEATHER hoping that **this time** it will save and work. Frustrated. There are two places in the ipad app to change the material settings, and neither of them works. It’s ridiculous.
Is it not cutting all the way through your leather? Have you tried doing a second cut by pressing the cut button again before you unload the mat?
The other thing you can try is deleting the app and re-installing it.
@@TheShawnMosch I’ve done both. If the pressure isn’t deep enough, it doesn’t matter how many times I go over it, it’s not going through the leather. Only completely restarting my ipad finally made the settings even show up at all, but still didn’t make them save. And there’s no option to delete any cache.

Why does the green line keep going at the top of design space……like forever????😮
Normally that green line is there when you are trying to upload something or there is an update going on. Are you uploading a file?
@@TheShawnMosch no I was trying to attach an offset.
@@terribarnard7549 with an Offset if the green line keeps going and going it is usually because there is a lot of detail in the outer line of the image/shape. The Cricut Design Space software has to analyze that to figure out the offset. Basically, the green line means "I am thinking . . . please hold"
@@TheShawnMosch hi Shawn, I do appreciate you taking the time to reply, but this is not a wait a while thing as I know it has to analyze etc etc…
But I walk away and leave it for 30 minutes or so😂I close down the program /open it and then bring my saved project back again to try. Guess it’s just my project and it doesn’t like it 🤔
The update absolutely sucks. This is a horrendous program now
