    While I am intrigued by this device, I’m going to hold off until an updated version. Maybe the second go-round will have better perks. Thanks for such an in-depth review!

    Nice review! Thank you for NOT using the words “distraction free” to describe this device, as every other review is doing :)

    • @1nner.w0rld

      but is it NOT distraction free?

    • @orangemc9358

      I mean... It is, though. Is the repetition irrationally frustrating you, or do you have a genuine gripe with the description? If all you can do is read, PLENTY of folk benefit from NOT having access to other apps. Only reading, only note taking. As an ADHD-enjoyer myself, Kindle taking me away from apps like Reddit or RUclips is a godsend.
      EDIT: "It's not a multi-tasking device. The only thing you can reasonably do on this device... is to read and take notes."

    I like the scribe because im not a tech guy. I read and write a tons and hot spot it off my phone. I have no tv, cable, computer or internet at home. So, this thing is awsome. Ive read tons of books on it with kindle unlimited. I just write a little bit on it, i still use my rhodia paper and fountain pen for writing. For non tech people (im 43) and older people, this thing make reading a snap. You can read a book a day.

    cmon Amazon. Time to devour the e-ink notetaking market by crashing the price of these devices. Reasonably these things should be only at $100-$200 range.

    When can we expect the updated overall kindle review? I really liked your last one, but am in the market today for one and I'm sure there are different ones. I appreciate your honesty and love that you were like, "The oasis I do NOT recommend, but I'm getting it." It's great. For the ergonomics alone, I'd like something like that but now I have to do more research before my purchase in the next month or so.

    This video was done 3 months ago but I love ❤️ your channel. I chose the Kind,e Scribe for its 10” screen. I did not want to read in a 6” scree which is the size of my phone. I wanted it to read at home 🏠. If I wanted a travel size the paper white signature is the way to go,

    I have the Kindle Scribe and like it very much. As a reading device it lacks the ability to remove books from the home page to the library where the collections are. Organizing your books is important so the home page isn't being cluttered with new books you have purchased or books you have read but don't need them on the home page any longer. The Kindle App on the iPhone, iPad, and Fire have the capability to remove the books back to the library and into collections. Amazon software writers please help the reader have the control for a more pleasant reading experience.

    Hi @papernroses may I know if the scribe is significantly zippier than the Paperwhite 5? I use them to do academic readings a lot and that would be an important factor to me, thanks for any updates in advance!

    How is the pen powered and recharged?

    • @hhyyacinth
      @hhyyacinth Год назад +1

      You don’t need to charge the pen.

    • @musashi4856
      @musashi4856 Год назад

      @@hhyyacinth Anyone interested in the engineering details regarding how the Kindle Scribe pencil works without an external charge supplied akin to the Appel pencil, et al.
      The Kindle Scribe Pencil writes on the Kindle using electromagnetic resonance (EMR) technology. EMR technology uses a combination of magnets and electricity to create a small electrical field around the tip of the pencil. When the pencil is moved over the surface of the Kindle, the electrical field is disrupted and the Kindle detects it, creating a digital version of the written word on the screen. The pencil doesn’t need to be charged, as the power is supplied by the Kindle itself.

      The pen is passive. It doesn’t need its own electricity source. The Scribe has all the needed electronics.

    its so sad you are comparing a kindle scribe with a ipad, its a big difference when you reading for a long time & the software update you mention will only make your book like junkyard . I just hope they don't listen to your opinion ... & as you said you have used it for months, I doubt it, If you don't like a device for 15 days you will stop using it.
