Love how at some points he tried to get rid of megumin and darkness but in the end just stuck with them
Kazuma's party is really unbalance dealing with minor task but is the best against the commanders of the demon lord
@@santiagomoralesgarcia1802 I remember later in the LN, Kazuma and his entire party had a contest for who could slay the most goblins. Needless to say, Kazuma killed the most. I'm pretty sure Megumin killed the second most with her explosion but Darkness couldn't hit anything and Aqua was useless.
Yeah, Kazuma's party is not balanced at all.

Who could forget a legendary scene like this
I still remember when I watched Megumin's introduction the first time, I reacted exactly like Kazuma and Aqua: perplexed and indifferent. But now I feel so nostalgic and at the verge of tears.
i love these kind of prequel spinoffs that lead into the main story. just gives a sense of "how this all started" kind of feel as the last episode is the start of their meeting in the og series
right before kazuma's line of "are you making fun of us?"

I like that from when Kazuma says "Hey, let's lower the bar a little." it is essentially a 1 to 1 recreation of the scene from episode 2 of season 1, except that it starts from Megumin's POV.

Well the new season just came out
To this day, Konosuba is still in my eyes one of the few 10/10 masterpiece. It blends quality and comedy perfectly.

More like 9/10, the beginning is pretty slow and it's not until after they properly set up Megumin and Darkness that the show is a masterpiece
Just you wait till it they adapt everything. Believe it or not it gets even better
True it doesn't really take off until the party is formed but those first couple episodes with Aqua and Kazuma activating to their new world and barely making it through fights by themselves was necessary.
Finally someone that understands me. It is the best. Yeah surely I watched quality stuff like Violet Evergarden, AoT etc but the comedy and quality is something else here
An epic ending, and the rest is history.
How could they leave us on a cliff-hanger like this! Does she join the party? Do they accept her and her eccentricities? Will she be an asset? I am dying for a season 2 to see more Megumin!
And yes I am being wildly sarcastic here. Though I am still waiting on Konosuba season 3.

This series made me appreciate megumin and yunyun more than I did before, and they both were up there as one of my favourite characters. jheez everyone’s my fave character in this anime it’s so goodddddd (imo)
The best ending to a show I’ve ever seen. I was going nuts the ENTIRE scene.
Technically Aqua didn't lied about "cozy and harmonious", in fact that's the team dynamic outside adventuring, the only clear exception is the classic Kazuma and Aqua's fights.
And now, can we please get a season 3!

Just seeing this makes the LN ending even more deep. Like whenever you enjoyed and finished a good media it just leaves you wondering What happened after? , that sense of existentialism is deep, too many questions.

If there's enough demand, the anime staff might do a Darkness' prequel by just fleshing out Darkness backstory inside the light novels. I wonder how that would go because like Megumin, Darkness isn't a complex character, so somebody will need to be the Yunyun and carry the show, in this case it will be Chris,. For me it would be great because she's one of my top favorite characters in the franchise (sharing second place with Megumin) and something really needed after being relegated to being a secondary character in the Konosuba anime.

I've read the explosion spinoff and I definitely did not expect that sooo much material could be compressed in just 12 eps, No major parts were missed either

I love the "heh heh heh".
For those that are anime only, Darkness (nor Aqua) does not have a spin-off. However, we have Continued! KonoBakuen, a sequel series that takes place during later Konosuba, Dust spin-off, Vanir spin-off, the non-canon spin-off based on the gacha and the idol OCs, and the author plans on writing a spin-off on a character in Season 3 (one of the top 5 most popular Konosuba characters) after Combatants is finished or so. The series is currently finished at 17+ LNs and Season 3 (2024) will cover LN 6-7, unless it’s more than 12 eps.
I'm hyped for the dust spin off.
