Hey guys! This is the most "goat heavy" advent calendar we have ever unboxed and I LOVE IT! The last day I don't think really "ruined it" but I was quite disappointed in the final day of the calendar! This one is tough because I like it and I think its cute but I do worry there are too many repeats of less expensive items and minis for it to really meet the value promised. What do you guys think? Let me know! Love ya💖
I love love love Beekman 1802! They make the ONLY lip balm I can use haha my lips are so sensitive, but their Pure Goat Milk Lip balm has been a lifesaver for me 🙏 it's truly a must-have product
I think the universe is telling you to start a pin collection 😂😂😂 (I keep mine all together on display on a couple of cheap pennant banner). It was a super cute collection, I also love goats and I collect enamel pins so I'd be excited for the pin but also would expect it to come with something else since it was put in day 24. 😂
@@Alexandria-Ryan Look up Beekman mansion in sharon ny on Google maps and street view it. Head north a few clicks and there are goats and also cows I forgot. Giant...in the field.
@@Alexandria-RyanI saw this Goat comment and I haven't seen the video. I can't even begin to guess what a Business that values goats so highly would put in an Advent Calendar. I thought I saw Perfume, but perfume and goats hmm.......😂
I laughed out loud when you said “I would be so mad if my name was artemisia and someone called me mugwort.” I live for Christmas time to see your advent calendar unboxing and your funny remarks
Had to post this. When I first moved to TN I had left my back door propped open bc I was moving items into my new home. Well I was not aware of my neighbors escape goat. I walked into my kitchen to find the cutest little goat hanging out sniffing around my dogs food bowl. My dog was hiding under the table,he’s a 90 lb Belgian Shepherd 🙄🤣They are now the best of friends & I’ve learned to keep my doors shut tight.
The Ylang Ylang Tuberose is their version of Chanel No 5 , and the cardboard tubes on their standard lip balms are meant to be kept and store the lipbalm tube in it to keep it lasting longer and dirt/dust free from being in a purse/pocket! If you need any further information about Beekman I can help you out!
Beeekman products are all made using goat milk. They guys that own the company are the cutest couple. When we started selling them at ulta they sent us cookies and this super cute video talking about how they started the company. They have the best packaging, and were very generous with the gratis. Unfortunately, i couldn't get over the milk smell in the products.
Did you know that they had a reality show called “The Fabulous Beekman Boys” when they first bought the goat farm!?! I love them so much. They’re the gay man version of my husband and I! 😂
I do believe that the couple was also on The Amazing race at one point and they were the most fun couple on that season! I don’t think they won but I was rooting for them the whole time!!!
I remember getting fussed at as a child because I used a seashell soap at my cousin's house. They said it was for guests, and I (being the precocious child I was) said I am a guest, I don't live here... And the reply was "you're not a guest, you are family.". Which should have been a compliment, but it just meant I got in trouble a lot for not knowing rules of houses that I didn't live in.
I literally dont watch anyone else for advent calendar videos. I love the way you get so excited about the products. I cant get advent calendars this year but watching you makes me feel like i get to get all the same ones you do
I feel like Alexandria saves me so much money because I don’t feel the need to go out and buy an advent calendar. She’s out here doing God’s work I tell you!
I grew up in Indiana in the early 2000s, and also had this lol. Indiana is known to be about 5-10 years behind on trends, so makes sense why it was part of my childhood after it faded out in other places 😂
I’m in Canada and we had the untouchable sea shell soap also, as well as sometimes soap shaped like animals that we also couldn’t touch, except when dusting 😂
They do have a farm. Beekman Bothers! Its actually near me in upstate NY. They started out as a super small local business with one little store. In the spring every year they do events where you get to meet and hang out with the baby goats.
I gotta say, this calendar may be the most genuinely ungendered selfcare one I've ever seen. It has lots if universal appeal across age groups too. Thanks Alexandria!
Personally, I think they provided a good sample of products from their line. Handmade soap runs from $7-15+ a bar. The cuticle cream helps remove excess cuticle, whereas the cuticle oil replenishes moisture in the skin and nail (learned that in cosmetology school😉).
This is probably the closest I have come to thinking I would enjoy a whole advent calendar! Of course the enamel pin was a bit of a bummer... wish they would've added that alongside another product.
Honestly, if the nutcracker had been the last day, it would have been amazing. Cause for me that was the coolest thing. But I understand they wanted it to go on top of the calendar. I think this was a really solid calendar though. And Fun fact: Tuberoses are not roses. They are actually different flowers from the asparagus family 😊
Fun fact, actual soap is saponified oils (oils that go through a specific chemical process from sodium hydroxide). Most “soap” you buy at the stores is actually detergent, a “solid cleanser” essentially. So I would think they labeled that bar solid cleanser because it is actually a detergent based “soap”. Those can be great and can be formulated for sensitive or delicate skin, like a face cleanser. Just mentioning it because I think the naming was very intentional to differentiate the formula from actual soap.
This one was super adorable but I think they could have done a 12 day, 2-layer cake box for about half the price and that way there wouldn't have been so many repeat items. That would have made it seem more "special". And maybe throw the makeup remover in the last day and give the pin as a free gift. Still cute though!
For anyone who is interested in cost/value: Taking everything at highest price (no sales or gift set discounts), the value of what we saw is ~$415. If we apply sale prices, it becomes ~$390. And if we use gift set pricing, the value is ~$370. So it doesn't seem like they're overinflating the stated value and are maybe understating it, which is nice. Of note: the macaron lip balms aren't available on the site, but I found them elsewhere for the same price as the tube style lip balms, so I used that pricing. The Oh! Mega and Milk Shake didn't indicate sizes so I did my best estimate for them (Milk Shake more accurately as it looked identical to the listed mini size). And anything provided that matched a mini size was calculated at that price, while anything not available in the advent calendar size had cost calculated based on the full size. And just a fun note - they actually have the goat pin up for sale on their site currently!
I have a primer from Wet n Wild that has bakuchiol (bah-koo-chee-ol) in it and it’s purple too. It comes from the babchi plant which is purple, though not every product that it’s in is purple, and it’s a plant derived retinol alternative. The more you know 🌠 lol This calendar is the perfect container for jewelry or other trinkets (or rocks like someone else said but crystals would be nice too)
Beekman 1802 is a goat farm. They are known for their goats milk soap. That’s why they have so many in there. Their balm is fantastic! I keep the cardboard tube on my bathroom counter w the balm in it to use when doing my makeup. The cake topper and pin should’ve been together. The topper is a nicer gift than the pin alone.
Do this one every year. You need stocking stuffers for people and the soap will be really good for your body. Plus we all lose lip balms before they are finished.
I'm a huge Beekman 1802 fan! I have so many products from them that are genuine faves of mine: the lip balm of course, the lip serum too, their facial bar & body bar, Milk Foam, Midnight Milk, Milk Glaze, Oh! Mega Milk, Bloom Cream, Milk Shake, and all their serum drops (fave is the bakuchiol one) 🫶 honestly just such a stellar brand!
Honestly this us probably one of the better boxes i have seen on this channel. Their theme reads festive and pairs well with their products. While some products are small, they are just small sized products they sell on their website and not samples. There are certainly improvements they can make, but it seems the value is there and would be a worthwhile purchase. Honestly this makes me consider purchasing a couple of products myself as it seems like things I may enjoy. (Yes i do want that pin. It is super cute.)
I love this calendar. I don't know how strong the "slice" drawers are, but I would use this to store some of my crafty stuff, and I would definitely put it on a lazy susan base. Your joy at seeing what is, admittedly, an ADORABLE topper made it all worthwhile, but yeah, the pin at the end was a bit disappoint. I would love to see you open the Harrod's one next (that is one of my faves)
That is a cute idea, the drawers could always get strengthened with tape; if you cover the triangle and the bottom of each drawer in a clear duct or packing tape.
This calendar is absolutely something I'd love! I love soaps, lip balm and even cuticle creams. This one is fantastic for people who like this kind of stuff.
I feel like you speak in a way usually in your videos that masks a lot of your southern accent. But you going absolutely ham over the goat nutcracker was so southern I thought I was visiting my family. Love it.
A severe lack of goat packaging :( but all very nice! You should put a different bar of soap in the goat wrapping so you can use the fancy soap and have it on display. Thank you so much for the videos, always brings joy to the day!
Between spinning advent calendars and wanting to poke the glade jelly just cements you are that girl that says all her intrusive thoughts & I'm here for it bc same! 😂
The little baby bottle containers look like the bottles they use to feed baby goats, if needed:) I really liked this calendar. There is nothing in it I wouldn’t enjoy using, except maybe the last item, lol xoxo
The vanilla absolute was always my favorite when I bought them! Their cuticle balms go a long way for what you get. They are known for their soaps, lip balms, and body creams.
I love that you’re just pumping out these videos, I love it cause I can watch it while it’s slow at work. Never heard of this calendar out of all the other ones so excited to see it 💜
wish i have the money for this! I usually don't like make up advent calenders (rare to got ones that go well w/ my skintone) but this, being mostly sknicare products, looks so nice! I'd prolly use most of them even! while there's the complaint that there's lots of repeats, personally i like that. not only will you not run out for a while, they're all just different enough that it's not the exact same product over and over. sometimes you want a nice vanilla lipbalm, or maybe in the evening use the lavender. morning comes and the lemon one to stimulate the brain and help wake up maybe (as examples)
I think the goat pin should have been included with something else for the last day, kind of like a votive candle in one of the scents they'd already included (like the vanilla or orange one). Otherwise, I liked it. Love the goat nutcracker topper!
I was just on their website and they definitely could have been a bit more diverse with their calendar. That being said, the goat cake topper is AMAZING!!!!!
I am with you about last day should be the best day. If you ever got those basic chocolate advent calendar my parents got me the last was was a much larger piece of chocolate then all of the others if you go to Aldi you can pick up a basic chocolate advent calendar for like less than a dollar and yes the last day is the best one!
I love their skin care! I was having so much trouble finding something for my dry skin. Things made with goats milk. Their body lotion have a strong smell in the bottle but they don’t smell very strong at all on the body. I use that face soap and toner and they are everything.
I don’t know why but I have such an obsession with people opening advent calendars I’ve never heard of or don’t have a reason/want to buy! This one was fun, and the goat topper is so cute. Excited to see what’s next!
11:25 a cold milk drink “ayran” is a really popular summer beverage in lots of countries! It’s made with unsweetened yogurt, water and a touch of salt.
I'm highly allergic to goat milk. But I love the box and the little nutcracker. I have watched this and considered buying this calendar, sending the products to my sister and keeping the box and nutcracker. Only the cost keeps me from it. 😅 I'm sure it would garner a phone call from her, needing an explanation. I send her some of these products yearly, she loves them, but would know something was up if she got that many similar items. Side note goat milk products are great if you have psoriasis or eczema.
So... for anyone who wants to know... goat milk not only smells "funny", but it also has a slimy feel to it when you drink it. Someone gave me a cup of hot chocolate once that was made with it. And once was enough! Love your unboxings!!
Goat milk and the food products made from it (cheese, butter, etc.) taste like dirt to me. It boggles my mind when my friends rave about goat cheese and I'm saying it tastes like dirt.
@@VV-nk1yjI just want you to know you're not crazy and I totally agree! Goat milk itself both has a gross taste and texture, and any food made with it is just as gross. Goat milk is great for products like in this video, and that's about it.
I’m so with you, goats make everything better! I loved your excitement for every goat picture. Not sure about this one, I think the value is only there if you know you love all their products. But that goat nutcracker is precious
I am beyond excited for the next Advent calendar video! Ya know, it's the little things in life ... but mostly because you make these so friggin fun Alexandria! 🥳🎁
I tried their Bar Soap years ago in my bath. It leaves a heavy tub ring that is thick & hard to remove with a tub cleaner. I worried what that residue would be doing to my plumbing so I donated the rest of the travel bars to my local thrift store. QVC probably has videos on this product line.❤
Oh wow, that's wild. I use a locally made, high milk % bar, along with things like clay powder in my bath lol, and my ring is quite manageable. I wonder if it's a stabilizer but could def be hard on the plumbing! I'll be skipping that product from them...
I get a yarn advent calendar. (cuz I am addicted to crochet.) The lady does include an enamel pin. BUT it's not just one whole day! It's included with a skein of yarn! (Or scissors or whatever else.) I would suggest you start getting some off-brand, small company advent calendars. They usually do much better advent calendars.
I used to LOVE watching their tv show The Fabulous Beekman Boys. They do in fact have a farm full of goats, and a llama from what I remember of the show. I started watching because I love Martha Stewart and one of the founders used to work for her company.
Smelling coffee beans help when you’re smelling a ton of different scents so you can better differentiate. Not sure if you’re already aware of this, but if not, I hope it helps 😊
I love these advent videos, it's the best way to get ready for Xmas season. And I fully agree, last day should be the biggest and most expensive one or something really special
Your Season of Advent Calendars has become one of my absolute favorite holiday traditions. I look forward to it every year. Even when I’m having a migraine attack or feeling anxious/depressed, I can still feel some festive joy by watching you unbox Advent Calendars! Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤️💚
The Beekman Boys are *marvelous* . They have an incredible farm and started their exceptional line with their goat milk soaps. It's an exquisite line. I think that Advent Calendar is *wonderful* . I could be mistaken, but I didn't see any sample sizes and their line is absolutely higher end so honestly -- for $150 I would be *thrilled* with all of those gorgeous Beekman 1802 products. Enjoy them!
I just discovered Beekman a couple weeks ago on QVC..since I tried the bar soap, I fell in love. I never had a barsoap wash off and feel soft until now...I immediately dove head first into their products and I am so pleased...I think the more you know about the company this box will seem worth the price...I am so sad I didn't know about this calendar before it sold out...I will be on the look out for 2024...The little glass bottles only need a tiny drop of product mixed into the bloom cream so there is a decent amount of product to last a while...Enjoy!
GOATS!!! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 I love the pin, but it would have been cute it if it was the pin + something else! They could have attached the pin to a ribbon and wrap up a nice product with the ribbon so it felt like a big nice gift!
Goat milk definitely has a distinct smell to it. I use it in cold processed soap I like to make. The soaping process is really stinky but the smell dissipates during the process and it makes a lovely rich lathering bar that can't be beat!!! It doesn't taste much different than cow's milk but avoid sniffing an already opened carton of it. Goats are def the greatest of all time. 😄😄😄
While there were some repeats and this calendar wasn't cheap, I felt like it was suitable for more people - everyone could use a lip balm, cream, soap etc.
I was looking for advent calendars yesterday on Amazon and today I'm shown your videos 😂 You seem so lovely and would be a delight to hangout with I bet!
Definitely thought it was gonna be a coupon on the last day. I wish they had put that free gift in their advent calendar on the last day. I agree - the last day has to be the best!
Omg, girl, you crack me up. I found your channel and have been binge watching and just laughing out loud. I love your subtle sarcasm and you are so pretty! I had to subscribe!
Mugwort is good in a T for sleeping, but very little because it can be not good and that's one of those ones don't use if you're pregnant also watch out for pennyroyal
Cuticle balm like in the tiny jar goes a loooooong way. That pot could easily last you through the winter and maybe to the next depending on how dry you keep your house.
We use to have this line at the shop I work at. I can't remember what soap it was but there was one that I loved smelling all the time. It may have been that orange one
You can try getting the boots advent calendar - it's really good this year! It is from the UK and I'm not sure how easy it is to order from US, but it is the best calendar I have seen in a while!
Okay, i actually super love the pin and would be pretty stoked to get it, but I agree that considering how cheap enamel pins are to make they really needed to have added a (small, maybe?) skincare item info the last day. That would have make it feel like an extra special bonus

Goat milk soap has greatly helped my KP on my arms, so I would recommend trying the soap and body lotions/balms for your KP ☺️
I love that you’re just pumping out these videos, I love it cause I can watch it while it’s slow at work. Never heard of this calendar out of all the other ones so excited to see it 💜
I think the goat pins are a thing with Beekman. Also they do 2 different quarterly subscriptions. Hint hint.
wish i have the money for this!
Just found your channel. The $11k advent calendar preview was such a good idea! Now I’m excited to see all of them 😁😁❤️
Welcome to the insanity🎉. We will watch Alex open calendars til the end of February 😂
I think the goat pin should have been included with something else for the last day, kind of like a votive candle in one of the scents they'd already included (like the vanilla or orange one). Otherwise, I liked it. Love the goat nutcracker topper!
I love advent calendar season!
I’m so glad you enjoy it!
I was just on their website and they definitely could have been a bit more diverse with their calendar. That being said, the goat cake topper is AMAZING!!!!!
Goatmilk is Beekman 1802's thing. I really love the Milk Shake toner mist and their Bakuchiol Dream Booster Serum- have purchased both a few times.
I needed an advent unboxing to make my day better! Love this time of year. Love this video series. ♥
use the cuticle oil first, and then put the cuticle ointman on top of it. It’s more of a ointment than a cream.
Aww I love goats 🐐 (I have 5 and bunnies 🐰). Super cute advent calendar.
Highly recommend keeping coffee beans when you're smelling a bunch of items.
I don’t know why but I have such an obsession with people opening advent calendars I’ve never heard of or don’t have a reason/want to buy! This one was fun, and the goat topper is so cute. Excited to see what’s next!
I love their products. The smells are amazing
Perfect way to spend a sick day home with my favorite face on RUclips. We love you Alex!!!
I've been avoiding ALL other Advent calendar videos, waiting for all yours, Alexandria! 💖
The multiple bars of soap and other repeats in different scents SCREAMS regift, stocking stuffer to me. My mom and sister would love so many of these.
11:25 a cold milk drink “ayran” is a really popular summer beverage in lots of countries! It’s made with unsweetened yogurt, water and a touch of salt.
For everything that’s happening in the world, your video really calm my anxiety. Keep doing you ❤
I'm highly allergic to goat milk.
We had goats & goat milk when I was a teenager. Only thing I liked about it was it didn't upset my tummy (I have lactose intolerance).
This advent calendar is amazing! I’ve never been so tempted before! But this is so fun and different… it’s so cute!
Your excitement over nutcracker goat and goats on the packaging is adorable! I love watching you unbox advent calendars!❤
I've never had a advent calendar and I don't enjoy the Christmas season. But gosh darn it I love watching your advent unboxings!!!!!!
I love that box!! You can put anything in there, makeup, jewelry, anything! I'd love it in the bedroom. Love it.
I love these advent videos, it's the best way to get ready for Xmas season. And I fully agree, last day should be the biggest and most expensive one or something really special
The Beekman Boys had a TV show when they were starting their farm and business. It was enjoyable. You should find and watch it!
These videos are my 5th favorite part of Christmas! #1 seeing my sister #2 decorating #christmas music #4 giving gifts #5 these videos. 😍😍
You look so wonderful in your Kentucky Blue. Looking forward to You unboxing this. It is so pretty
What blush are you wearing 😩..soo pretty! All this makeup look is looking banging!
final day was kind of the cake goat and the pin. you should try unboxing backwards. See if that helps your expectations
It’s the most wonderful time of year: advent calendar unboxing with Alexandria
They have several cute enamel pins on their website including a Vampire goat!
A very cute calendar! I must admit, though, when I first saw the box I was reminded of the Presidio Modelo in Cuba. An odd coincidence, I hope!
This is my favourite series! I love this time of year❤
Cuticle balm like in the tiny jar goes a loooooong way. That pot could easily last you through the winter and maybe to the next depending on how dry you keep your house.
Wrap a piece of wood in the goat soap paper. Then you can still use the soap.
I just love advent calendar season!!!! I know it is a lot of work for you but I do love it! Thanks
Im currently binging all your advent calendar videos and you’re hilarious!!! Please do the glow recipe advent calendar i beeegggg
Aww thank you so much for watching! I just ordered it the other day!
@@Alexandria-Ryan omggg cant wait to watch it when it comes outtt!!!❤️❤️❤️
This would be the calendar for me! I ADORE goat milk or handmade soaps!!
Okay, i actually super love the pin and would be pretty stoked to get it, but I agree that considering how cheap enamel pins are to make they really needed to have added a (small, maybe?) skincare item info the last day. That would have make it feel like an extra special bonus
Will be great for skincare, makeup or craft storage.😊
