Like the guy Aron hunted with this year, I am now booked with Jeff for next June because of your videos. I can't wait! I more pumped now after this video!
Congratulations on the Grizzly Aron!! Hopefully the BC election went well this year, it was a tough vote, but I hope we will be able to continue hunting Grizzlies for years to come!
Great episode love the storys I keep everything and keep horns and hids its a story starter at my house and i remember everyone and love telling them. Keep up the work guys one day i will get out west got my first wisconsin bear tag but fractured my ankle so hopping i can pull it off yet
Awesome podcast once again. Aron or Bryan if you could shed some light on some reputable mountain goat outfitters in AK or BC, coming from Australia with little to no experience with the dream of harvesting a mountain goat. Thanks
Great job guys!!! Sounded like the adventure of a lifetime. since they outlawed hound hunting in CA there isn't a week that goes by without a bear incident in the city. it's beyond ridiculous out here.
I have my stuff out loud and proud, zero shame. Whether today's society realizes it or not, this planet devours weakness. It will always come full circle back to where it started, the land provides...
the way I see it, i find it disrespectful not to keep the skull or antlers or hide it whatever(no meat wasted 👍) cause when I look at mount i wonder what the story was behind it and keep it as a remembrance of the time spent between the hunter and the animal, I got some of dad's whitetail bucks after he passed hanging on my wall right now cause it's not a trophy it's a big memory that lives in the back of my mind every time I look at them I remember my dad and without them I don't know what I would do. I was really looking forward to this podcast since I seen the picture of Aron and the grizzly. congrats brother.
Great podcast. Agree bears are very hard to judge, but there is a huge difference between a 5.5, 6.5, and a true 7, 7.5 POW rug in my opinion. A 5.5 or 6 footer is a poodle compared to a solid 7 plus foot bear. Great spring hunts to both of you
Brian and Aaron I have two things for you. 1st: I want the cape, but I also want the meat. I have heard that if you want the bear meat you need to hunt in the fall only. Is that true.? 2nd: you guys do a great job with talking about eating healthy and how much you eat the wild game. That's awesome. But my question is, could you do a podcast with Renella or with yourselves and go over some different ways to cook wild game and actual meals.? I finally went on my first elk hunt last fall. I am addicted. The meat is great but the hunt was amazing. Had a lot of medical issues with my daughter, so I have only been able to go once. Hoping to be able to start doing more big game hunts now. Any advice you can give us great. Thank you both.
I know an old timer who prefers spring bears. I've had both and found no discernible difference. The taste from what I found mainly depends on the bears diet.
Hey Guys; on one hand i hate the you need to justify keeping any part of the animals, but on the other hand i get it; i just wish you could spend more time on talking about your hunts. Not judging or trying to be disrespectful, but you can't push a rope, some people just want to be negative or just flat stupid. God bless you #staygritty
James Griffin ~ Man James, I can't disagree with you more. For me, that's a cop-out statement. Hunters who make no effort to explain conservation or their motives for hunting or why they keep antlers, etc., are copping-out from a discussion they should be having. If we don't share our thoughts and knowledge of conservation and the hunting ethic to the non-hunter, who will? And the guy we're talking about is hunter but wants us to hide a bear rug. I believe that words are powerful--thoughts and ideas change the world. And I never justify hunting. I explain hunting--there's a difference. And I absolutely believe that what I say and do changes hearts and minds; including the hearts and minds of the people you say "will never understand." I will never stop advocating for hunting and conservation with logic and reason; and I believe it's a duty that every hunter should own up to.
James Griffin You are right, they will never understand. But! during this BC election I got many a phone call telling me to end the grizzly huntt and telling me lies about the "trophy hunt". If We keep ourselves educated we can always fight back with facts instead of anger like they are and we look more civil. I have come into contact with lots of Antis and more and more everyday, but I have educated myself and a few on the fence people now want me to take them out so they can see Bears up close!!
I explain things to people who will actually listen. Many people will not listen, their mind is made up. But, there are people who "think" they know but really don't that will hear what you have to say. When you hit them with facts it's hard for them to keep their same stance. I've found this especially true with Africa big game and "trophy hunting".
Hunting is for COWARDS. How about taking down a bear without a gun. Gutless coward. Fucking fourth liner who couldnt beat a wet paper bag in his nhl career
I see it like gay and lesbian content on TV. I am by now way judging someone else's life style, I just don't want to see it. Just imagine if all the anti hunting people out there just said, go shoot what you want, just don't put it on TV.
Awesome podcast guys! I truly think the hunting story podcasts are my favorite and get me all jacked up on mountain dew! #staygritty

"our freezers are pretty full right now" ...I hope to have that problem some day.

Wish you guys would stop trying to justify hunting to people that will never understand.
