Was waiting so long for this video and it didn’t disappoint! Gotta love how Brian is thinking there is a bear on his back and keeps his head on a 360 swivel!! Great job guys!!
Wow that is incredible! This movie was filmed so well that it felt like you were sitting along right there with them. When that bear came running out it made me get some adrenaline. Seeing this reminds me of the stories of the grizzlies that my grandpa told me growing up. His cows were busting down the fence every night and getting out in the grain field. On the third night he decided that he was going to sit out there and watch the fence. Just before dark here come all the cows on a dead run right towards him at the gate. They broke right through the gate again and right there behind them was a huge grizzly in hot pursuit. Grandpa said he had a good 200 yards back to the pickup. He clung to the fence post and didn’t move as the bear went right past him just feet away. He also said he wasn’t sticking around to round up his cows in the dark. I really enjoyed watching this video I can’t wait for the next one!
My grizzly story isn't near as epic. Years ago I was passing through West Yellowstone, the family and I stopped at a great pizza place called Perkys. The owner there was one of the coolest, and nicest people I've ever met. The kids were busy with the games, so he sat and regaled me with many great stories. One of which was about taking out the trash, only to have a large bear pop out of the dumpster when he threw the trash in. Since then he's gotten bear resistant dumpsters. Anyway later that night at a nearby motel the family had settled in for the night and the wife, pregnant with number four, asked me to go get her some snaçks she had left in the car. My mind started replaying the earlier bear story, and everything I'd ever seen on tv. I was ever the brave young father. Foolishly fearless. I hustled out to our car, eyes darting wildly around. I retrieved her goodies and started back to the hotel. At the back door I had exited I now noticed that the hotels garbage facilities were just past the door. As I approached the door my mind raced. I heard grows in my head and saw bear shaped shadows. I fumbled the key and dropped it trying to unlock the door. It fell to the ground below the few steps up to the door. It skittered to a stop between the stairs and the dumpsters. I walked briskly down and around the stairs to where it lay. I stooped to pick it up and I heard a rustling sound from behind me. I was just feet from the dumpsters, carrying a enough baked goods for a small army, a pregnant woman, or a bear. As I slowly stood, key in hand, I heard the sound again. I slowly turned, ready to be mauled. As I moved there was suddenly a sharp scream, I leapt for the stairs. Then I saw my would be murderer. A small red fox had a take out container. He looked at me and screamed again, then let out a few cursing yips and ran away with his dinner. Key in hand, heart in throat I dashed indoors and stayed there until daylight.
That fog adds such a nice cinematic look, nice film brain keep it going. You give me inspiration /ideas for filming with every video. Dam that bear though ...... got my blood pumping just watching it.
I like the bit where he’s reflecting on how he thought he’d hide behind the tree. That shit was funny because in the heat of the moment, 90% of would think something silly like that too. Haha.
Glad we can finally see what you guys are always talking about on the Gritty podcast! I personally have wanted to see that film since you started talking about it.
Woah...that would have been intense! Maybe the guide is gonna pack more than 3 rounds for the rest of the trip...not that you'd have time to use em I guess...14 yards! Great footage!
I have to say you got great footage with that grizzly headed straight at you! Arons reaction was priceless, can't wait to watch the rest of this series!
Gunfire sure doesn't seem to spook them like it should. I love how everyone is talking about what they were gonna hide behind. Honesty made it funnier. Thanks for the post. Illness and missing a leg keeps me out of the woods for the most part. Sure missing it but vids like this help.
Nothing humorous about this vid . What made my blood run cold is when that APEX PREDATOR " PEAKED". Animals are not supposed to process like that. I will never go in to bear country PERIOD!!. BUT, if i do i will be HEAVILY ARMED. GUNS, LOTS OF GUNS. AND A STICK OF DYNAMITE TO BOOT.
Watching this on my phone doesn’t do this encounter justice. How many warning shots what he gonna give? With that step forward I just might have shot...
LOL: good night that was funny. Holy crap that got my heart thumping and I wasn’t even there. Sounds like Aaron fired a warning shot from a 155 mm howitzer 😂. Glad you guys were unharmed
I remember hearing Brian and Aron talking about this on a podcast after it happened, but seeing it and how truly close that bear was, was truly amazing. No idea how you two kept it together to get video and photos when the bear decided it wasn't going to be scared off by the shot! Great film look forward to the rest of this series.
That was awesome! That was so crazy and intense! Amazing content! Aron seemed a little to excited, like let's do that again and Brian you were like no way. Thank you so much for your videos.
Coolest Footage Ever of that bear charging! I’m a lot like Snyder when it comes to stuff like that. Last time I almost had to shoot a bear in the face at 5 yards I couldn’t stop laughing afterwards because it was such a rush. My friend didn’t think it was as funny an I did
Being that I have never never ever been remotely close to an encounter like that. I'm pretty sure I would have been nicknamed capt'n poopy pants after that lol. Great footage guys, way to stay cool under pressure.
What beautiful country, thank you for sharing! That bear charge was friggin awesome beings I wasn't there to crap my pants. She did look like she was looking at Brian lol. For real though really enjoying the great footage and brotherhood of the hunt, thank you.
Beauty video, captures the wide emotional range one feels after those rare instenses. I had my first mountain lion encounter at ~10 yards this year while solo hunting in southern BC, the cat crept into my camp a couple hours after sunrise of my first opening morning ever.. my bow was at the tent and I didn't have a side arm other than my K-bar. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything though, maybe not even to get a buck that trip. Love the shows and podcasts, only wish I had realized how quality they were sooner. Cheers Brian
Keep it going brother! Huge fan of the podcasts but these hunting videos are top notch! You and Aron are the real deal and I think ya'll are way ahead of the direction the industry is heading in regards to hunting shows.
Absolutely great composure in this situation! Love the tree as cover... 😂 what a unique experience! Thanks again for letting us ride that one through with you! Those critters sure can move! 🐻
I’m going to start yelling “ I only have two more!” During intense situations
Marty Farmer 🤣🤣🤣🤘🏼

Amazing video, The heart was pounding when that head popped out of the brush. One of the scariest things to see, that monster charging.
Was waiting so long for this video and it didn’t disappoint! Gotta love how Brian is thinking there is a bear on his back and keeps his head on a 360 swivel!! Great job guys!!
Charge at 8:35
Your an angel 🙌🙏
Meanwhile, back at the bear den..."Holy crap, I was just within 14 yards of Aron Snyder and Brian Call and lived to talk about it..."Lol.
Bear probably only turned because he realized it was them 😂
Aron only has a camera, Im going in......awe crap, there is his bow, change of plans. Peace out fellas.
“I only got two more....” Love it! Great video, thanks.
It's an absolute blessing to be living in such a beautiful country. I envy you!
“That was f’n cool..” is the last thing I’d think haha. Gotta love these guys. Brian, love the films man.
THAT WAS COOL AS HELL!!! I’m sitting on my couch sweating with Goosebumps from Kansas.😂 great video Gritty!!!
Haha. She wasn’t scared. Reach around the tree and slap the piss out of ya. Love it. Keep me coming. Ready for the next part.
Awesome to finally see the full clip that's part of your intro reel! Loving your videos, they're inspiring!
A great film as always. Man you and Snyder have had some amazing adventures.
"I only have two more" Just what you want to hear as the bear gets closer.
8:44 dude was "like ok I guess I'll be on my way" 🤣🤣

Kelsi Ward that’s a pretty intense story too!!

Holy hell what a video! I was having a hard time holding MY mud just watching!
I hope this becomes an annual thing for Gritty. These videos are excellent!
“I wish we could do that more often” said no one ever, except Aron Snyder. That had me rolling haha
Too funny!
He's acting like a hard-ass.
Why not?? That's an adrenaline rush like no other. It let's you know you are alive.
It lets you know you almost got eaten.
Chase yeah now but when the grizzly charged he had shit in his underwear
I like the bit where he’s reflecting on how he thought he’d hide behind the tree. That shit was funny because in the heat of the moment, 90% of would think something silly like that too. Haha.
Why is it I always press 👍🏽before the start of aGritty film, because there’s that certain feel to it that brings you along🤘🏽
Drifter hah GAYYYY

I really liked the opening sequence to the vid too. All the B roll stuff looked amazing .
Yup, if my clothes weren't camouflaged, they would be after that grizzly charge that's for sure. Lol

That bear had the coldest Stone Cold glare I’ve ever seen!
Just started watching these dudes. I am actually glad I didn't find ya'll earlier. Now I get to binge on the older vids.

That was insane! But I just love Aaron’s reaction.

Meant business you could tell by stare after shot. Smart to be looking behind you!
Nothing humorous about this vid .
