"Passing chords" are clearly defined as chords who lead from one chord to another, e.g. G#7 within C - G#7 - G7 - C. In this lesson we do find diatonic slash chords, i.e. chords, that can be inserted while the tonal basic lingers on. E. g. throwing in D while A still runs (as perfectly shown in this lesson). But again: "passing chords" are a different animal.
