This is becoming too often in Osaka matches, and Auckland was lower ranked than Brisbane, at least in terms of players. No good when AO approaching

Osaka mostro un tenis muy superior al de Tauson. Si el partido se hubiera completado, Osaka hubiera ganado facilmente. La lesion de Osaka le valio el titulo a Tauson sin merecerlo.

    What happened to her?

She was leading 5-1 in the finals and then had abdominal pain..took the first set 6-4 called a trainer to examine her. A decision was taken that she should retire!

Well, that was awkward. Naomi seemed like she couldn't wait to get off the court after the requisite interview. Hey wait, stay here, we still have more Maori stuff to give you. And of course they have to refer to "our beautiful country" which is so Kiwi insecure, like they're paranoid the world won't notice them. It is a beautiful country, where I lived and explored for six years, but they always seem to need that extra reminder that it isn't just some island state at the bottom of the world. Kia Ora cuzzie broz. Then there's the default "winner" who is sorry, not happy, worst final I've ever played, etc. Quite an uncomfortable moment for everyone who hosted, promoted, and paid to see this once a year Kiwi tennis event. Oh well at least it's still summer down unda. Kia Ora Cuzzie Broz. ;-)

Always looking for negativity. Can you even realize what she must feel not being able to complete the match after winning the 1st?
      Think a little bit.

@ you always congratulate your opponent for a great week. Just not Naomi. She thinks the world revolves around her

Yes, she is a narcissist. Not wishing her well because she deserves to learn hard lesson in life.

Maybe you should try to play tennis so would know how hard to retire with your priority is your body rather than getting the injury worst! 🙄

I wonder why she took Japan's Surname despite her black dad?

I am so sick of these players quitting during a match. Naomi has shown no grit, just pathetic. Stomach injury, smh. Opeleka quit as well, and the Asia guy. They think they got enough games and matches so they move on and think the AO will be more worth their efforts. Neither will do well, wrong attitude. karma. This strategy never works. I respect Aryna for playing to win, no matter what tournament.

Lol, so many players that have won AO have quite tournaments leading upto it. Maybe fix whatever deep depressive hole you're in before commenting BS

But Naomi won the set, had she lost I'd agree with you. But when your body tells you no, then it's a no. Also have you had a baby before? BYE.

The tennis season just started and AO starts in 7 days. Why aggravate an injury for a win and end up being sidelined before the AO or even longer.

this is an insane comment she was injured badly with a abdomen strain which made her cry with pain, she would’ve won the match if she was healthy in straight sets

You need to get real 😂 Try playing this high level of tennis yourself and come back to me when you retire from a match and I’ll tell you “I told you so!” 🤷‍♂️
