After watching the video here was my breakdown: in the beginning and at the end are 12 dc , pattern is 12 stitch repeat which is repeated x 3 and in between there are 7 stitches x 2 to separate the pattern repeat. After counting all the stitches (12+12+7+12+7+12+12) I come with a total of 74 stitches but in the beginning you mentioned chain 3 + 74 dc. So does the beginning chain 3 count as a stitch or no. Can you clarify. It will help

It depends on where you live. Bally is our local brand, but there is also bambino which is very nice. Kashmir a wool is also good so is Winta. These our local brands, in imported wool you can get Elizeh, naco, Robin and emu and threads. All are great wool with various varieties.
Out of all of the tutorial I watched your one was the easiest to follow because you used a light color yarn.
