I've been making my way through the China Beach box set, and just watched this earlier this evening. I've seen a lot of good television and films, but never so beautiful a scene as this. What a blessing.
So touching, especially if you were there......today we have very wealthy football players "taking a knee." I guess if you are looking for fairness in life, you may be very disappointed. Just remember, no matter what your feelings about Vietnam, some ran and some didn't.......and many never got to watch another pro football game.
Great series and just bought my 2nd box set. Season 2 is strong and this is from the finale "The World". This is a beautiful scene and one of my fav's in the whole series. All of it is great, but I would give the win to season 4. It's very rare to see the aftermath in war films/tv and it's done so very well in China Beach. It's tough to watch when McMurphy breaks her sobriety and falls. (Through and Through)
This is a perfect example of how TV can elicit so many emotions. My wife, the nurse, loved this show, especially Dana Delany.
Such a beautiful and touching moment. I miss this series. The cast was wonderful and I just wish they made shows like this now.
This was one of the most powerful scenes in a series I've ever witnessed - wonderful!!!
I have not seen this scene since it originally aired. It is still as beautiful as it was in 1989.
This is tragic and unspeakably beautiful at the same time. It's a lot like life, really.
I MISS this series...excellent cast, writers and a damn great soundtrack!!!
