I am a great fan of Alan Parsons and I didn't think any cover of any of his songs could be better than the original. I was wrong. Most especially, vocalist Alexandra Schindler is absolutetly magnificent.

This is Awesome! I have listened to Jacqui Copland sing "Mr. Time" for the last 20 years... and I am both Amazed and Encouraged by seeing and hearing your performance.
I especially Applaud Alexandra for her Courage...Jacqui Copland is a hard Act to Follow and everyone expresses the lyrics they read differently, just as songs move the Listener to feel different Emotion. To sing this, an Artist must literally surrender themselves to both the Music and the Listener and bring out from inside them both intense Fear and Gratitude for Someone at the same time.
I think you all performed very well... which is no small feat... because the Influence of Alan Parsons was not lost on any of you, and with what tools you have you gave us chance to see what another group of Brave Musicians can do with what I personally feel is the most Hauntingly Beautiful and Intimidating Music ever conceived.

Magnificent cover version! Long time AP/APP fan here. The instruments are perfect, but I must say Jacqui Copland's vocal intonation is unique, and a hard act to follow. So well done - certainly it was sung with the right attitude.

I would also just comment that the album from which this song comes, is less appreciated by some AP fans, not being part of the 'classic' canon, being made without Eric Woolfson. Some do not particularly like it, but I have always thought it a great album, just with a different character, maybe with a bit of a darker tone. In any case, you have brilliantly captured its essence.

Try Anything Once was Alan Parson making quite the audacious attempt at producing an APP quality record without Eric Woolfson. On the surface it sounds like an impossible task, especially given the opinion of many many experts that Eric Woolfson was, perhaps, the very heart and soul of APP. So in 1993 when I pick up this record and listened to it for the first time, I simply could not quite believe my ears. The famous APP quality and precision was there, the song writing was there, the instrumentation was phonomional, it had force, it had power, it had themes, and it was also slightly different than any other APP album as if it was the first evolution towards a post APP sound while maintaining all of APP's storied roots. Try Anything Once sits alongside all of the APP albums as not only worthy but perhaps slightly better than the average APP record. I really enjoyed hearing Mr. Time again... brought back memories.

Instrumentals are fantastic and all, but the vocals sound too edgy and tryhard...the singer should relax more and trust her voice, it is not that great...
