  • Welcome to Bits & Biology, a channel about board games from the perspective of a biologist gamer. In this video I play through solo scenario 1 (Air, Land, and Sea) from the fan-made solo mode, Melodies: A Solo Campaign for Harmonies. The rules are pretty much the same, except that you start with three animal cards that you must complete to win the scenario, as well as meeting a target score. Timestamps can be found below in case you want to skip around.

Yeah I noticed the reason why you didn’t complete the scenario. In one instance there was 2 leaves and one stone. And you had 2 trees each with only 2 wood and one mountain with only 2 stone. But instead you decided to take 2 clay and 1 plains so you could score your squirrel. Clearly you got so distracted with your squirrel that you completely forgot you should focus on completing the first three animals, clearly it would seem you shouldn’t bother grabbing additional animals until you complete the first three.
Some people will eat their dinner with their dessert and end up finishing their dessert before their dinner, but it’s not good manners.

Yeah, I recall thinking that very same thing a turn or two after I did that. "Clearly you got so distracted with your squirrel..." I have ADHD, so this is the story of my life...😂

Can you recycle more than once in a game?

Unfortunately, no, just the one time. It is intended to be a "just in case" mechanism, for when the tokens you need for the starting animals are not coming out.
