As Sindh, have their people sail to meet the Sámi peoples of northern Scandinavia. Perhaps free them or something too. Usually they are unlikely to ever interact because of the distance… Sindh Kalmar Union!
The Romani people of Germany are called Sintis because it was believed they came from Sindh. So as Sindh become the true gypsy king by becoming HRE Emperor
As ??? suffer the consequences of forgetting to reveal the next nation to us - use random number generator to draw 20 province ID's and then conquer these provinces :D
@@TheRedHawk If you have it, you should make it in a "beautiful way" - stable nation, nice, clean borders, coherent fashion, original provinces converted. Not some weird no-CB, switch country position, bizarre EU4 geography style. That way this challenge will have an extra flavor of excellency.
yea but i get what he's going for with the "need to stay sienna in some way" thing. In a series like this where its a different challenge every time there needs to be some continuity between them other than that its unmodded gameplay imo, and the 1 rule being "Pick a nation that exists in 1444, be THAT nation and no others during this conquest" is a good base. The series is called a to z, so ik he already felt bad not keeping their place in the listing with the name, but then also clicking the button in game that literally says to abandon your roots as the original nation does lowkey feel like alot, since literally any nation could make italy for this challenge either by being from the area or culture shifting
@TheRedHawk satisfying to be sure, but the lack of challenge and increase in tedium keep me down. I don't think I've ever played a game to 1700 and games to 1600 and beyond are rare.
Red Hawk: Give me suggestions for challenges that I can do in the upcoming nations Commenters: *Gives Red Hawk hundreds of ideas, some of which are harder than others* Red Hawk: *Picks the absolute hardest ones* Red Hawk: Frick I hate my life why is this happening to me
Sindh was one of the first areas of India to fall under Islamic rule. As Sindh, convert to Hindu and make it so that there are no Muslim nations in the Indian region.
I'm not sure when Sligo is coming up, but I know it's soon, so I'll repeat my suggestion from last week's video: In honour of the famous Sligo Poet W.B. Yeats, and his Poem 'Sailing to Byzantium' - 'revive' the Eastern Roman Empire by conquering and holding Constantinople as Sligo.
Oh man this feels good. Italy invades France and builds Paris for the French. Uuhh the ultimate disrespect, it feels so good. Thank you for this run man, it was fucking majestic. Oh and bonus points the Austrians are also burning and Spain is basically gone. What a real Italian game.
I like how by just throwing money at buildings in eu4 you can bring a monument to level 3 in literally 3 days. Like I imagine the architect being like "but how can we even possibly build even one room in less than a month??" and the king just throws another couple sacks of ducats like "just make it happen bro" Or even funnier, he comes with 120k conscripts and is like "these guys will help you build" while the architect is crying "they don't know anything about fine arts! I can't possibly trust them to make a baroque style garden! Especially in one single day!"
Versailles is the only Great Project which gives national tax modifier and it only sent you 20 ducats above your goal, so I doubt you could have completed much faster by going for Versailles earlier. It could have been good to become a theocracy, since they give +25 percent National tax at 100 devotion. Otherwise, there really isn't much you could have done to complete this faster, besides switching to a better National Idea set for faster scaling. Though Italian Ideas from forming Italy in particular gives 15% national tax which could have helped
Converting to Islam actually would have been a good shout, since full legalism gives +20% tax, and the Iqta government reform gives +5% base and an extra +15% from efficient tax farming, adding a practically free +40% tax.
@@sir_kyber Perhaps, but he didn't want to convert the provinces in North Africa, so why would he want to swap to Sunni, which is a semi PITA. Also he would lose the 15 percent tax from Catholicism
@@micahbonewell5994 The point is that Sunni would still be a net gain of +25%. He also wound up converting the North African provinces anyways. However, I'm also remembering that he was a republic, which does not have access to the Iqta government reform, meaning it would only be a +5% increase. Converting to a monarchy probably would have been a good idea though because of both access to the Iqta and also Curtail Noble Privileges combined being more valuable than the Italian Signoria reform.
Siena was once one of the largest and wealthiest cities in Europe and a primary hub of the Silk Road. Sadly, they were particularly devastated by the Black Death, paving the way for Florence to dominate Tuscany.
I just visited Sienna. They have a major little brother complex with Rome and Florence. Almost makes me want to try and replicate your run (not that I have the skills to do so)
For Sindh, try "Forgive Me, It's all Greek!" by completing two achievements. 1) It's All Greek to Me (conquer Zeta, Thatta, Roh, and Lamba and forming Greece) and 2) Forgive me, for I have Sindh (flip Christian as Sindh).
I know you are not having so much fun, but this has been really fun to watch. I didn't think such a long play through could be as entertaining as this has been.
I hope in EU5, The Vatican City can be formed for the Pope so you can own Rome and he can have his city with no penalities that way. Still no Roman Empire formed. One of these days you need to do it.
You can return cores in reconquest cb to all your subjects as part of a wargoal and using the rerurn core option not the conquest is better in most cases... 1.doing it that way saves your diplomat time he doesnt have to improve with your subject (+40 relations per core) 2. Gives you more favors with your vassals you can trade for trust thus reducing LD 3.gets rid of their core unless its their primary culture 4. It also can be cheaper depending on your province warscore cost modifier Btw dunno why this is still working but if you take target of reconquest for yourself instead of your vassal you still only get 25% AE...
I'm about halfway through but one thing I'm sure you didn't do but could've is switched to a theocracy, they have a gov reform for +50% tax, which is huge but comes very late in the tree. That would've helped a whole bunch
Sortition gets usually slept on but it's insanely good. You get to choose between 4 rulers, all get +1 on all stats and they live for a long time so you don't have to tank so much republican tradition. It's way stronger than frequent elections which is the usual pick, imo.
you might want to know that the Monte de Paschi di Siena was almost bankrupt a few years ago, so maybe the challange should have been "as Siena, go bankrupt"
Yeah I really hope they revert the whole new tuscan mission tree thing in the next patch. Especially because the decision says that you obtain new missions
As next nation, go back to Siena and show us how good mercenaries can be: Plutocratic ideas, Mercenary ideas, and Condotteri Contracts/Mercenary Leadership.
8:24 that's not an excommunicated ruler CB, that's regular conquest, you didn't let time tick for a new CB to pop up, so you ate double the AE you would have otherwise

Couldn’t tell if you took it, but monarchy government mechanic for more tax and a burgher privilege, plus conquer France sooner they have all the tax dev
