In my opinion, one of the greatest soprano voices of all time. We are blessed to live during her era of performances. And, a stunning vision of feminine loveliness! We can still give Angela her place among the best, and acknowledge the legacy she herself would give to histories’ Callas restoration of bel canto emotion, Sutherland’s dramatic coloratura trills, Caballés beautiful voice, and still recognize Angela Gheorghiu’s place of importance in our time.
The best casting director making a move about that needed a female opera star could not create a fictional character more perfect than how Angela is in real life.
