R.I.P great and wonderful songwriter Tony Clarkin ❤
RIP Tony, glad we still have the albums & live footage to remember him. Growing up in New Zealand the only Magnum I ever found was the Wings of Heaven LP, the major label 'bid for the bigtime'! I feel Storyteller's though is an all time classic, which deserves to be much more widely known.
All the way back to 'kingdom of madness' and now 'here comes the rain' .... what can you say ? Constant brilliance ⭐
Agreed 👍
My favorite rock band for almost 25 years; came late to the party but never left. Great interview, hope Tony make a slow but solid recovery; we all have to be patient 🍺🤘
Thanks for watching. Awful news about Tony since I recorded this.
So sorry for the band and the magnum family ..TC was the spirit and Bod was the heart that projected the sounds of my youth and my old age ❤️
Love the brilliant new album. RIP Tony ❤️❤️❤️
Fantastic to see Bob
RIP Tony 🙏 ❤
Saw Magnum play in Bradford in 86/87 l was only 16/17 always loved their music and stage vibe, very sad news to hear of the loss of Tony, great musician, songwriter and gentleman. RIP ❤
Only just heard the sad news about Tony Clarkin. Glad that I saw the band several times in the 1980s. I remember missing the train home after a gig at Bradford Polytechnic one summer, so we walked alongside the motorway to the outskirts of Leeds, where we found a phonebox and rang for a taxi to Leeds Station at 4am. Eventually caught a train home at about 8am! Worth it though.
'Chase the Dragon' and 'Eleventh Hour' are still two of my favourite albums.
Everything was so different before mobile phones. Great that the journey was made easier by having seen an awsome gig 👍🏻
Absolutely gutted. Was so looking forward to the tour as my son is now getting into gigs and it would have been the first time seeing Magnum. So glad I got to see them over the years and it was a pleasure to meet them in person a few times. Thoughts are with everyone associated with the band, especially Tony’s family.
Wonderful video thoughts are with Bob and the band at this difficult time subscribed cheers 🍺
Thanks for taking the time to watch and the kind words 🍻
This is probably the first interview I have heard/seen with Bob Catley, and I think I now can recognize a Birmingham accent. He sounds a lot like another pretty famous singer from the same area (just one year younger).
😁👍🏻
Awesome video Dave. Rock on and Happy Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks Colm, hope all is good at your end.
Requiescat In Pace Tony Clarkin - there seemed to be some sort of forboding in this interview - a sort of resignation to the inevitable. The music of Magnum lives on indelibly...
Saw them everytime they played Belfast from 1985 to 2022.....buying their records from 1982 to the new album boxset today. Very sad news about Tony😟
