That "feel" of pulling the triggers is etched in my mind.
Never had the chance to personally own my own scalextric. My dad had one so I'd get to see that for brief time when I visited him up London. It was superb. They were very bulky cars back then, or maybe I was just tiny lol. Love it Dave. 👍

This brought back memories! I used to have a Scalextric set as a kid, with a velodrome curve and two classic Formula 1 cars; one red & white Marlboro car and one beautiful black and gold John Player Special car.
Would love to buy me a set again now, with perhaps KITT and KARR, the 60's Batmobile, any Bond car really. Or maybe the Blues Brothers Dodge Monaco?

I used to have a metal black and gold John Player Special F1 car...loved it.
The ability to add extra cars and track with Scalextric opens up so many possibilities!
I purchased both of these cars separately and converted them for my digital Carrera track. Love both the cars!

@hammersmikey, the _only_ reason you're seeing this particular set is because both _Back To The Future_ and _Knight Rider_ are owned by Universal Pictures; I don't think that hat you're going to see a Ghostbusters vs_ for love or money unless Sony and Scalectrix comes up with a set that unites _Ghostbusters_ with another Sony property ( my guess would be _Men In Black_ ,which also has cars in it like the Mercedes Benz MIB cars or-God forbid-the Ford LTD that was called the 'Ford POS' by Agent J [Will Smith] in the first movie [a Mercury Marauder could also be used.])
@60MWPodcast, a better set (actually, as I said just now [5/7/23] the _only_ set) would be _Ghostbusters_ vs. _Men In Black_ , seeing as both franchises are owned by Sony Pictues.

Thanks for watching and the very kind words. If I remember correctly K.I.T.T. has an on/off button for the front sweeping light, while the DeLorean needs to be connected to the track.
I'm curious are there track that can make the cars slide or jump?
Not sure about that unfortunately.
Curious when the Delorean reaches a scale speed of 88 mph Dose it disappear in a flame trail ?

Why did KITT’s scanner bug like that when you showed it?
probably onboard battery storage is tiny.
Is there anyway of adding or expanding tracks?
AFAIK any Scalextric track can be bought and added to it to expand.

Oh looks awesome man I'm gonna order one tomorrow..I never had a scalextric as a kid I did have a tyco set...how did you put the knight rider lights on in your hand?does it take a battery or something?..regards from dublin!

@@60MWPodcast I'm sure it will be a bit of fun man!..I still have the formula tyco speedsound I got for Christmas in the attic...still works great!..I've a carrera 132 digital in the box the past 3 years n still haven't set up!..I dunno why I'm buying stuff like this at my age!..I supoose they are making lots of cool nostalgic stuff these days!

On a side note I recently wrote a letter to scalextric,about applying for a license for a fast and furious modelling deal,one would think it would be a profitable for both company's,and what a selection of vehicles to choose from,peace.

@60MWPodcast, why? It wouldn't work (unless the set would be like the Hot Wheels AugMoto set which would show said flame FX on a smartphone or tablet.)

Very cool, but not at £160. If they doubled the amount of track you got I'd certainly be tempted to buy it but there just isn't enough for the money.
You can buy additional track for a set like this one.

The clear windows on K.I.T.T are a bit naff. Nice to see the interior but ...
