  • Can you hook your CO2 regulator up to a nitrogen or argon tank? It's a solid 'maybe'

Most cga320 regulators for CO2 cannot handle the higher pressure of beer gas or nitrogen, which is upwards of 3000 psi in tank. While that regulator might be designed for that pressure, most are not unless sold as a nitrogen regulator. The threads on the cga580 are not part of the sealing mechanism, only the gasket, and you are actually interfering with the ability of the threads to pull the gasket tight enough by putting teflon tape on it, same in principle for cga320.
If you must switch between cga320 and cga580 you can get a single piece to replace the connector, with 1/4" npt to screw directly into the regulator body, instead of multiple points of failure with multiple adapters.

But if u have the correct adaptor can u use nitrogen gauges on a co2 bottle to save buying 2 regs. Should i get a nitro one & use it on a co2 since nitro can take more pressure

Maybe we should be real men and stop relying on the perception of others. (Mommy hold my hand kind of kid)
