Fuh Ck Me You are racist because you automaticly think he meant black people
So you think only black people are meant to be called n*

I love his facial expressions when he's thinking hard.
This is exactly what I did my A-level physics long paper on.
Will see if I can dig it out.
“To be fair,”
He looks like the Doom Guy lol

@@theternal Nah he alive for me, I just came to know him recently I'd like to think that this godly person is well
But he isn't :'(
People have NO IDEA how amazingly gifted this man's intelligence was. It is truly a privilege we have video recordings of him and we take it for granted.
i like how he mentions GTA and saying as if this isnt as impressive as before, but GTA had a company full to the brim of arguably the best game devs at their disposal but this dude is just ONE man.
What people dont get is that the things terry did from scratch could be the skelleton basis of basically most modern pieces of software and for him to have done all that all those years ago alone and from scratch is just utterly impressive
Terry didnt fail us, we failed Terry, we lost something precious with him
terry you were an amazing person and you will be deeply missed
Terry's Mod, tmod for short.
xD
Mind blown every time I see this amazing person do amazing things as if they’re just minuscule little tasks. Such a sad story. Rest In Peace.
A man with such deep understanding of concepts in multiple disciplines is truly a genius.
This is still impressive to me. Of course we have 'GTA and stuff" today... but this software reminds me of a era of creativity in programming. This is gold.
3:42 the guy actually writes a PID controller, like it's as easy as making a coffee!!!
As an engineer, i can say just one thing:
WOW !
just wow!.
and to consider that everything was coded by a single person!!!
it's actually insane how much charisma somebody can have. picture this same video with just any of person over the age of 45 who is just a normal guy teaching you about his setup, now put that in contrast to how animated (almost cartoonish) Davis is. it's just crazy to think about
His brilliance is humbling.
it really is
his what is what ?¿??
@@rickross80 "His brilliance is humbling"
@@kemma_ Ah, thank you kind sir, now I understand everything 🌞♡♡ Much love
@@rickross80 maybe ask a more specific question next time?
Who thought him all these? He truly is a genius. I keep saying this and he still always amazes me. Rest In Peace, Terry.
He taught himself mostly. That's what makes Terry unreal to me. Despite his mental health issues he was an absolute genuine genius.
I know people are memeing on him but as a programmer, it's honestly astounding that this guy has created all of this technology all on his own. Dude would've made an amazing entrepreneur if he wasn't schizophrenic.
We just watched terry make the code for a rocket launch and landing in 20 minutes. If his talents had been put towards science we could have put a man on mars in five years
This man wrote this in the 2000s. Just let that sink in. Even today this is more than impressive.
Now God has a personal programmer now.
he'll also tell god what is and whats not nijurlicious.
why did use "now" twice in the same sentence lol
*has him back again
Some may call him God’s Lonely Programmer but for me, I consider him as God’s Little Programmer.
RIP Terry Davis the King
I don't know if he is in the heaven, he was VERY racist and homophobic
Blessed are the cracked, for they shall let in the light
Do you know of the watchman's gaze?
Wtf i read this as blessed as the crackhead
most programmers cant even write two lines without pasting from stack exchange but this guy was something else
There is a universe out there where this guy becomes a top computer science professor, no doubt in my fucking mind. The guy really was brilliant.
I CANT BELIVE THIS. Absolute genius, pure genius...
Jesus. Im amazed that a software guy can have such a clear understanding of mass spring systems and PID controllers presumably decades after learning about them in college. I can't imagine him having much reason to practice these concepts as a developer so any recollection at this level is pretty impressive
Wish Terry did teaching in his career. His understanding and ability to break things down is astonishing. Fuck mental illness. RIP Terry glad you're finally free. Just wish it didn't have to end the way it did.
It's so amazing that he solo developed a physics engine. And all the features he added. Just wow.
He makes me feel like a dumbass, extremely humbling
This simulator is really good and you can learn feedback easily with this
Pretty amazing. He didnt just code TempleOS. It seems he was also a pretty good "normal" coder for existing OSes.
Very talented indeed, he also seems to have a great understanding about mathematics and basic physics.
Terry was a scientist and high profile T.I. people can be sure his code is now used by large corporations like Nasa
I just feel bad knowing we lost him rip terry :(
Terry was truly brilliant. So sad that we lost such an amazing person ☹️
I hope Terry's soul is at peace now. God bless this amazing man
If this man didn't have schizophrenia he legitimately could have been the greatest genius of our lifetime. I'm not even joking. People don't understand how insanely impressive coding a software like this alone in 1 year in the early 2000's is. There were full research teams trying to do this and failing and this guy did it in his spare time as a hobby while suffering from severe mental illness.
I got no doubt that he was actually the smartest programmer who ever lived.
Clearly some divine coding going on there. RIP King Terry!
Maybe Terry died because TempleOS was seen as complete by God and God decided it was time for Terry to return to heaven.
Jc Dock Wow, that actually makes me feel a lot better, I don’t believe in god personally but imagining that’s true makes me so much happier. It means this great man didn’t die for nothing. Thanks for writing that comment.
@@BreakTheBeat852 no problem, I don't believe in God either but if he does exist I would like to think that Terry is with him
@@jcdock why do you assume it would be a "he"?
There is no god, only delusional humans.
@@fuanka1724 I only have one response to that is, fuck off. Don't inject your bullshit into a nice comment thread
@JK FRT who's to say god does or does not exist? It's like the last thursday theory in a way, any proof for god's existence can be labeled as fake, and any proof against god's existence can be labeled as fake too, neither side can be debunked all the way, so there's no way to know the truth for certain.
The chances that god exists are equal to the chances that god does not exist.
Very interesting video, this is great design, the command window is a great idea, allows the user to create simple physics based games, a lot of great ideas in there.
This is for seriously Nasa, not gaming 😲
I've made a bunch of physics simulator many times in the past, also got curious about control theory at some point but still..
I am genuinely impressed by this. He really knows his stuff. Even more than the average programmer.
I thought this guy couldn't be more talented when I saw templeOS
But he also knew controls theory I mean he had UG in electrical engineering, But this made me respect him even more
what does UG mean ?
im from germany so we have master, bachelor, doctor title aso

He wrote this program and TempleOS when he was already diagnosed with schizophrenia. He may have lost his clarity of mind, but he has always remained an incredibly intelligent person. R.I.P.
The more you learn about him, the more you pity him. It also makes me grateful for having a roof and a relatively normal brain.
Cool story bro

right??? the bar for being grateful goes lower each day haha.
jokes aside it is so sad just thinking what he could have become....
Divine intellect > relatively normal brain
@@ab8jeh I wouldn't be too sure there
It's insane to think that firstly he knew the control theory so well besides all his other skills and secondly writing this whole program in just one year? Are you serious? This could be something a team could work on for years especially in the 2000s.
His a God
what a character... what a guy... brings tears in my eyes watching his vids nowadays...
I'm absolutely blown away by the program he made here, despite not having hands on with the software I can respect the intricacy he managed here, just this demo alone shows a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes
I could listen to this guy for hours. I fall asleep everyday listening to him every day. I wish I knew him personally. I consider myself lucky just to know he existed!
Gosh i wish he was more recognized for his intelligence. Such an important mind.
This guy could have gone down in history cuz of his absolute genius
this is a program he single handedly written in 2000. in 2000 when i had my windows 95 computer and i was 4 and played Tunneler and Dyna Blaster with my friends, if we had this program it would legit blow out our minds.
We are so sorry Terry. You were undoubtedly one of the smartest programmers that ever lived, and we pushed you aside and outcasted your talent....
Terry is one of the great prodigies of our age that nobody's ever heard of
Did Terry seriously die? Oh man, I am a fan of his work! I'm an atheist but out of respect for his devotion I'll pray for him. God bless you, Terry.
Amen. Truly astonishing person.

very true my friend.
remembering his ending still makes me extremely depressed.
oh my god i don't think i could write something like this not even with chatgpt, and terry wrote this on the 2000's, he was truly a genius
It’s a complete tragedy that this man didn’t receive help, imagine what he could have created, had he received treatment.
for a matter of fact the treatment just made his condition worse; that is assuming he had one in the first place
抹茶98 I think a decent portion of mentally ill people weren’t actually mentally ill, terry included. Only after receiving “treatment” did they develop issues. Exactly like how the American school systems puts kids who move around to much in their seat on adderal when they’re 6
PsychoTheRapist destroyed his mind 🥺
nearly 99% of programmers today cant even go half as this man
blame corps
Half? You're too generous lol. This guy wrote an OS , wrote a compiler, wrote a boot looser, created his own programming language.
99.9 % of the programmers could not do just one of these things
I'm a little confused. Even in my basic BS in comp sci, we were required to write a full compiler in a class literally called Compilers, where we made the individual parts of the compiler and brought them all together at the end of the class. You could not pass this class unless your compiler passed all test cases.
Idk where these "99.9% of people in the industry can't write a compiler" stat is coming from tbh
@@snickerdoooodle bro where do you study even in stanford they dont have that i call this bs tbh
