    MORE FAQ:
    HOW LONG DID THIS PROJECT TAKE YOU? We did it over the span of a few weekends but it could be done in 3-5 days.
    HOW MUCH DID THIS PROJECT COST? $1300 as we had most of the materials already but the chairs were the most expensive part!
    DO YOU GET A LOT OF MOSQUITOES WITH THE CEDARS? No! There were already 3 cedars nearby when we built the firepit and have never had an issue with them.
    ARE THE CHAIRS COMFORTABLE? Yes!
    HOW HIGH ARE THE CHAIRS HUNG? I believe they're roughly 3.5 ft from the ground - that's just the height that was comfortable for us because we are both under 6 feet tall.
    AREN'T THOSE HANGING CHAIRS EXPENSIVE? Yes they are now :( When I bought them they were around $300CAD each.
    WHERE DID YOU GET THE BOWL FOR THE FIREPIT? We had it from a firepit we had bought years earlier at Lowes.

    WOW ..love this....especially hanging those chairs. My better half has one of those chairs on a stand and the legs take up so much space on the deck. This provides a great idea to get rid of it off the deck and over to the firepit......thankyou for the idea lol

    Looks great! Fourteen bags of concrete for two posts in absolutely insane! Where are you located? I assume you dropped them in 4 feet due to the frost line? Also, did you add gravel to the base of the hole before you dropped in your posts? Placing them strain into the ground with the concrete is sure to rot them out much faster.

    • @BenjaminAlex32
      @BenjaminAlex32 Месяц назад

      Really depends what the soil is like in your area. I have a smaller 1-person auger and I was able to dig the first foot in less than 30 seconds. Ran into one large rock, and the next 2 feet were only another few minutes.
      I live in an area that isn’t very rocky, and doesn’t have thick clay though.

    • @evan.whobrey
      @evan.whobrey Год назад +3

      You need one that tall. Rule of thumb with posts is to have it buried 1/3 it’s length. This would give you 8 feet exposure with a 12 foot length.

    Overkill? We like sitting on logs aroung a fire encircled by rocks from the old growth forest and no precut firewood logs or gas. A la naturel. Only metal is the axe.
    Whatever floats your boat.
