MORE FAQ:
HOW LONG DID THIS PROJECT TAKE YOU? We did it over the span of a few weekends but it could be done in 3-5 days.
HOW MUCH DID THIS PROJECT COST? $1300 as we had most of the materials already but the chairs were the most expensive part!
DO YOU GET A LOT OF MOSQUITOES WITH THE CEDARS? No! There were already 3 cedars nearby when we built the firepit and have never had an issue with them.
ARE THE CHAIRS COMFORTABLE? Yes!
HOW HIGH ARE THE CHAIRS HUNG? I believe they're roughly 3.5 ft from the ground - that's just the height that was comfortable for us because we are both under 6 feet tall.
AREN'T THOSE HANGING CHAIRS EXPENSIVE? Yes they are now :( When I bought them they were around $300CAD each.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE BOWL FOR THE FIREPIT? We had it from a firepit we had bought years earlier at Lowes.

Woke up one morning and your video popped up on my Instagram. Immediately said “I want that.” 3 days later, it’s almost done and turning out amazing.
MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN,,,That is exactly what I need for my new and first house owner ever, finally after 54 years😱😱😎😎😎😎😁😁Your great invention is awesome..Cant wait to dublicate it in simularity..
This is exactly what Ive been looking for. I love this type of pit........beautiful job!!!!!!
Absolutely love it! I’m going to do something like this in our back yard and will send you pics when it’s complete. Thank you!
I absolutely LOVE the look! This is definitely worth putting together! Thanks for sharing
What a beautiful arrangement!!!!!
Nice! Only thing I'd do different is use bolts instead of screws for the pergola. Love it!
WOW ..love this....especially hanging those chairs. My better half has one of those chairs on a stand and the legs take up so much space on the deck. This provides a great idea to get rid of it off the deck and over to the firepit......thankyou for the idea lol
This is cool, makes me wanna do half circle for a fire pit /grill area.
Looks awesome, well done!
Love it. I'm using this video for inspiration. Thanks!
So dreamy . Love it
What a beautiful area! You guys are so impressive! Wow! I wish you were my neighbors! 😂
Great job 👍🏽
Nicely done guys
Beautiful yard I’m tuned in
Great job.
Looks great, wife and I looking to do something similar on our property
That's so beautiful
I love this very much ❤
I love it!!!!
Good job!!
You have alot of faith in those deck screws
Very cozy
Great video. Thank you very much!
What is the height of the 6x6 you purchased? Was it 10 or 12ft?
@@marcusmazza2255 Not sure if anyone has answered, but based on 4' deep and thinking the height of the man is 5'8-5'10 then the height would be 11' total. (7' out of the ground) JMT
Just sent this to my husband for my home project wish list 😂
Simply gorgeous 👍
Really like your fire pit design. However, I should have kept mine to 13 feet diameter as it looks too big for my small garden.
I’ve started this project, i looked for weeks at many different fire pits and I keep coming back to yours. I am
Going to try and do everything you did, but we’ll see how it goes. If it’s okay I’ll post questions during my process.
I wish I could post pictures, I’ve completed this project
Around how many blocks and what type did you get?
@@ronnieguilmette4288 Let me get back to you. I dont remember how many blocks I used, I wish I could post a picture.
Did you dig the whole thing with a shovel?
Love this! Why don’t you use the weed fabric in the center?
Love it! What's the length of the 6x6 posts?
Here from the pool guy :)
omg i like the back door lights at night so neat 🤗
Did you need to compact the dirt under the black fabric
Where did you find or how did you make the foot prints?
Just finished mine. I made mine a lot bigger
What length was your 6x6's?
Looks great! Fourteen bags of concrete for two posts in absolutely insane! Where are you located? I assume you dropped them in 4 feet due to the frost line? Also, did you add gravel to the base of the hole before you dropped in your posts? Placing them strain into the ground with the concrete is sure to rot them out much faster.
We love your project and are in the process of planning it. What did you guys use to roll up your sod ? Looks like something that cut it and dug it
What size post do you use for the egg chair? 6x6x10 or 6x6x12?
I’m curious what we’re the dimensions of the retainer wall bricks used??
I love this, would like to try this out but not got a lot of space, will work something out, you inspired me thank you. ❤
You did not dig those 6x6 four feet deep lol. I rented an auger last night and it took me 3 hrs to get 28".
Really depends what the soil is like in your area. I have a smaller 1-person auger and I was able to dig the first foot in less than 30 seconds. Ran into one large rock, and the next 2 feet were only another few minutes.
I live in an area that isn’t very rocky, and doesn’t have thick clay though.
Should the retaining wall be sitting right on soil?
I like this
Beautiful. So sad a fire pit is not legal in our state 😢
Where do u store your wood for the fire
What is the support brace attached to if there’s no beam going across?
They don't respond
Lol, 2nd hand rocks
How tall is this?
At What angle did he cut the corner bracing and how long?
How many blocks did you use?
Love it, but please put carriage bolts in it.
What’s the purpose of the geo fabric ?
It’s hard to find a 6 x 6 x 12 lumber, can we substitute a 4 x 6 x 12 lumber instead?
How many blocks will I need exactly?
What type gravel
Cost at the time?
How tall were the 6x6's? A 12 foot one right now is $174.00 so if I don't need that tall it would help me lol
You need one that tall. Rule of thumb with posts is to have it buried 1/3 it’s length. This would give you 8 feet exposure with a 12 foot length.
It would be nice if you included the average cost of ALL materials including what you already had. A realistic look at the cost of everything would be helpful. Cute lawnmower mower by the way. (Not the dude)
How much landscaping fabric did you end up using?
my question too, and seems like every video (including theirs) just skips over this part 😡
😊
Hey! I am unable to access the links in your description - is there somewhere else I can find those?
Oh that’s so weird! I’ll have a look into that today - you can find all our links on our website aspenackley dot com 😊
Hi, what kind of wood stain you used ?
That's pressure treated
Isnt 4ft too deep?
Curious how much the cost of your project was. Thanks
What happens inside firepit area after big rains? Tia
how much u spent for the whole project
$20 million with the price of wood right now.
How did you hand the lamp lights
Nothing wrong with using PL
None of the links work for me…
Gente rica ensuciandose las manos para salir en RUclips muy bien
Overkill? We like sitting on logs aroung a fire encircled by rocks from the old growth forest and no precut firewood logs or gas. A la naturel. Only metal is the axe.
Whatever floats your boat.
