So incredibly beautiful and powerful. We'd listened to the recording when it first came out, but then I just stumbled across their live performance on RUclips right before Christmas and was completely blown away. It's hard to put into words the talent on display, across the board. We watched/listened through our TV + stereo HomePod setup and the clarity, production, quality, and sheer beauty that Tommee put together is stunning. Thanks for your analysis as well. Until the live version came out, I don't think we all truly appreciated what was put together. Thank you!

Thank you for this rendition of one of my favorite carols. Up until now, I believed Peter Hollens solo version was the most exquisite performance. This, plus your analysis, may have changed my mind. Please have a holiday season blessed with peace and joy.

Thank you so much for this Reaction : I have discovered a musical genius thanks to you😊.
As this was done in a Festive Season context, may I refer you to another Christmas offering; White Christmas by Emma Kok with André Rieu. Although the basic song is so simple, Emma’s rendering of it is stunning, my personal favourite since Crosby’s ‘43 original (search kok rieu white christmas).
She has also recently done a magnificent version of Cohen’s Halleluja (kok halleluja max kerstconcert) on a Dutch Christmas TV concert. The orchestral backing is a bit loud at the very end, but the overall impression is awesome.
Two of her own recordings (and compositions) are in Dutch, but English subtitled versions are available on YT.
First Strijder (emma kok strijder) on the need to be a fighter and warrior when facing life’s problems.
Second (Kok Lat Mij Een Vlinder Zijn) where she dreams of leaving her chrysalis, even if only for a few minutes, to be free of all constraints to be free to fly like a butterfly. Poignant, hopeful, and beautiful. Another version (kok vlinder zapp musiekfeest) is really touching, showing Emma interacting with kids in the crowd while she is singing. A beautiful and very human performance, even the recording quality is not too good.
Finally, family is important to Emma. She invited her sister Sophie (also a singer) to her TV show to sing a duet with her with some interesting contra-harmony (?) effects (kok emma sophie starry starry).
I know you appreciate Emma, as a musician and as a person, so perhaps you will forgive me for being so long-winded.
Happy New Year to you and your colleagues.
