You don't need to play the latest game just because it's the latest game. Also Tekken Revolution wasn't even that bad with the mtx. You could make multiple accounts for your Tokens to refresh. The vigor, health, endurance thing could only be levelled up by ranking up. The outfits were optional and garbage anyway. So the only real mtx thing in that game was the outfits.
