    Burpee is always the way to go if it's available in what you want. I wish we was able to get Burpee cannabis seeds. I never see them available in the US but when I was a teenager I came into some packages or really old basic stains. Think 1 was #1 skunk & 1 was like White RINO & I don't remember the third. I wish they would make a line of 100% cana related products. But great video. I grabbed a bag today so I fell on the same assessment. Ppl have to understand that Coco's delivery is better with water pH of 6 to 7 but 6.5 tends to be the sweet spot

    I've used both Burpee organic and Jiffy organic seed starting mixes with good results. I now make my own. However, I would have to agree with one of the posters above in that I would NOT use Miracle-Gro for anything garden-related. Miracle-Gro is in bed with Monsanto and anything coming from that place is on my "never to buy" list. Sure, many of their products work, but it's the hidden chemicals they add to them that's a turn off for me. Thanks for sharing this though.

      @Lorenzo I wasn't aware of the Miracle Gro and Monsanto relationship. It's important to know. Thanks!

      Monsanto owns Miracle-Gro, Burpee, Scotts, Ortho, and more. They have been buying up just about everything.

      @@homesteadlady3acrehomestead Oh geeeez. I wasn't aware that crappy Monsanto owns all those companies. I buy some of those brands regularly. Thanks for opening my eyes.

      Every 4 year presidential term since 1957 the new U.S. president ALWAYS appointed the Monsanto company's big shots to run the entire U.S.D.A. That is why pesticides and herbicides are being subsidized and sprayed on our natural areas and waters and foods. The USDA has been taken over and corrupted by Monsanto. They even chose the plants they will call invasive and make the list of invasive and noxious plants. They certainly lied about alot of those plants and they have a list of what chemicals to use on the list. It is just sickening to me too

    The Burpee would be 50% bigger, not 33%.
    I use the Burpee also. Good stuff.

    I have used both the Burpee organic and Jiffy organic seed starting mix. Both have worked really well for my seed starting. I have not and would not use Miracle Grow.

    You can't get this product in my area. Even Amazon was out! Burpee is best, I don't have to watch the vid.

    I used Burpee for the first time this year and it seems like I had to more actively make sure my seedlings stayed moist indoors with the heat on. That's an unusual problem for me to have, because I am usually trying to avoid damping off.

    I understand about non renewable vs renewable. What I don't know is what does peat moss do for plants and what does coconut coir do for plants? Thank you!

    • @nnoble92
      @nnoble92  2 года назад +1

      As far as what they do for the plants it’s more or less the same. They both act like a sponge that holds water well but coco coir is more expensive but more of a renewable resource than peat.

    • @nnoble92
      @nnoble92  2 года назад +2

      In my experience using just coco coir or peat has yielded more or less the same results compared to using a starting mix
