Thanks SO much for the drone view. Really helpful to see the state of collapse. I've been tracking the slow death of this poor old hall for years now thanks to the kindness of people like you. It's terribly sad, but don't hold your breath for English Heritage or anyone to come in and save it. Their assessment was that it is "architecturally nondescript" and the Wyatt foyer is "far from his best work" which can of course be seen at houses X, Y and Z elsehwere. BTW I think the crenellated ironwork you thought was from a fireplace surround is actually from the original entrance gates. Somebody stoleone of the gates a while back so they must have picked up what was left. I must say you are braver than a thousand lions to step into the house proper! Looks like even the Wyatt end has now completely collapsed. Many thanks again for the video!

Thanks for watching , it was risky heading inside but totally worth it. If it had been a windy day I don't think I would have entered. Shame that nothing can be done to fix it at the moment. But that's the sign of the times we live in. Many buildings like this are lying in disrepair up and down the country.
