Having watched your videos for more than a year, I can honestly say they get better each time. Your content is probably the best Incubus content on the internet. Guys, if you aren’t subscribed to Nick’s Patreon page I highly suggest you do it. Great job mate!
Thanks so much Nick! I know I say it every time, but your support really means a lot. Plus, where the hell has that over a year gone?! 😅 thanks for sticking around 😊👍🏻
Great work! Love how you even put some theory, it makes it more interesting. What a great guitar riff and textures that all of the instruments managed to deliver together! Incubus has always been one of those bands that even when their music it's so commercial and friendly, their aproach to music feels different (in a really good way).
Thanks so much Alfredo! I think knowing the theory behind the song really gives you a more intimate look at how it’s constructed. Helps me understand what chord could come next or what scale could be played etc. Shows what a brilliant songwriter Mike is and how his use of chord voicings has matured from album to album, he’s constantly tinkering with and it always makes for more interesting listening than doing the same thing over and over. Thanks for watching my friend 😊👍🏻
Totally agree! Btw, do you always play on the neck pickup? Or you just play without changing to the bridge pickup when the distorted parts kick in for the sake of the tutorial?
@@alfredopadronnanez3804 my guitar is permanently on the neck pick up for incubus songs 😁. That’s the great thing about Mike’s guitar work, he keeps that side of his playing really simple 😬
@@Fitzgerd Ah, thanks for the quick response. I realize this is before you bought the Mesa. I assume you'd be using that in any Incubus videos after the buy?
Yes it is! I really like it - had it for years now. My main comment would be they are very long. I’ve had to modify mine to make the guitar sit at a more comfortable height for me 😅

@@Fitzgerd amazing how fast it flies when you’re wondering what video your buddy in the UK is going to come out with each month haha cheers mate!
@@nickg7021 😊 thanks buddy!
Aspiring Tik Tok guitar teacher here, really admire the amount of detail you spend on some of these parts. Really helps dude. Thx
No problem, thanks for watching! 😊👍🏻
Love these videos, Nick. Picked the guitar back up after 4 years and I’m tone chasing quick a bit with a Pod Go I picked up. Awesome!
Thanks so much Artie! Enjoy your tone quest 😁👍🏻

I am a self-proclaimed Incubus and Einziger fanatic but I admit, I got nothing on your fandom level man. Good job!
Haha! Thank you - it’s a bit of an obsession at this point 😳😆
You’re awesome. Your videos are inspiring. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks so much for that kind comment, really appreciate that 😊👍🏻

😁thank you! 🤘🏻
thank you ❤❤❤❤
You're welcome 😊
I wish I had this 22 years ago when i first learned this song..it wouldn't have taken me 3 months to learn it by ear
I wish I had started this RUclips channel a lot earlier too 😅. Thanks for watching! 😊👍🏻
What are you using for distortion? is that just the mesa amp? That chorus distortion sounds beautiful.
All the distortion is coming from a plugin - neural dsp archetype petrucci 👍🏻

@@blues3531 that’s absolutely correct. Any incubus videos since my Mesa video will use the Tremoverb 😊👍🏻

Is that a DiMarzio ClipLock strap? Been looking into them and curious of your opinion.
