    Very nice video. I'd like to glue the base for the scotty rod holder r-5, but i think the curvature on the fast track pontoon would prevent success. , do you have any suggestions or products that might help. The fast track angler has confounded me and do I not really understand the design concept having now bought one. It has the bixpy skeg motor. Again very nice video.

      You won't have much left to glue other things. We have more glue on our web store if you need more for other things!

    Has anyone had any luck with Oatey's shower pan liner adhesive?
    I'm thinking of using some to reglue a few pieces that have come unglued on my kayak. Seems very similar to HH-66 (which I've used on the past) but at half the cost!

      We haven't tried that ourselves.

      @@Swellfish I tried it with very positive results. It dries much quicker between coats, so application is slightly different. But strength seems to be comparable.

    Do these stay on even if you deflate and roll the boat?

      Yup! We factory install Scotty pads for customers, roll up the boats, and ship them. They definitely stay on! 🤣

    What are these mounts used for?

      They are a universal mount for Scotty's rod holders and such.

    Th aks for the vid.. should the boat be fully inflated to install these?

    • @Swellfish
      @Swellfish  Год назад +1

      Inflated to about 80-90 percent. Because it is an accessory, you want it inflated. When doing any sort of fabric patches, it needs to be deflated.

      Stabond UK-148 can be used for PVC or Hypalon fabric. The boat in the video has PVC fabric.

    Do these have to be installed and left on for 24 hours with the boat inflated? or can I leave it deflated for the process? I dont have much room to leave it inflated. kind of why I bought an inflatable kayak to begin with lol

    • @MrMxm13
      @MrMxm13 Год назад +1

      first off, don't use 'duck' tape, certain tapes especially this type have acids in the glue that will weaken your boat. it depends on the patch type is it's flexible i'd deflate and leave a weight on it over night on flat surface, if its rigid and curved mount in must be inflated and it will need pressure over night

    • @reelpenguin
      @reelpenguin Год назад

      @@MrMxm13 its curved!! thanks for the advice I'll give it a shot

    • @Swellfish
      @Swellfish  Год назад +1

      If you are keeping the 'duck' tape on the boat for any real length of time, we completely agree! But it doesn't really affect the boat because you are only keeping the tape on for less than 30 minutes.
