What a sweet Mack, earlier in my carrier I purchased one from a rental firm. Like this one it had under a hundred thousand miles, and a wreck master which was 5 tons heavier lifting then a Holmes 750. Worked it 10 years in Los Angeles metropolitan area, and sold it thousand's more then I paid, to a Los Angeles city police towing agency. Mack's go and go, it was a silver dog , what I believe is a hundred percent Mack is a gold dog, while a mixed like Cummins engine or Fuller transmission gets a silver dog. Mine was born Mack a hundred percent. Never broke one time, except battery's, not even an alternator, starter, water pump, brakes, clutch, nothing. Mack's are bad ass bullet proof riggs.
You tying down the antenna reminds me of my husband's US Army duty in West Germany in 1976. He was an MP and their vehicles for patrol were Jeeps. The antenna was so tall they had to tie down or it would possibly electrocute the passengers when crossing train tracks. Nice to see you have customers that visit with you. Take care.
Both those particular roof antennas easily unscrew at the base.
I've been there at the Lee Hi back in the day when it was in its glory. It was a nice place. Your doing great Steve. Thanks for all you do.

DAMN I hate I missed ya man. I stop every day coming up 81 at the Lee Hi truck stop. Exit 195 and hook a left in you're heading north, right if your heading south. It's a much better alternative than Whites Petro off 205. Too many pickles in that jar, and lazy flip-flop drivers blocking the islands. Safe travels!

Don't laugh about having to use the wrecker to rescue yourself, Steve! I was hauling my 85 GMC back from Billings Mt when the fuel pump on my 74 Ford crapped out.. had to tow my own truck into Sheridan and leave it til I could change the fuel pump.. a wrecker towing a wrecker with a empty trailer was epic in a blizzard!!

Don't you just love those heavy loads when slamming into the pins? All my Glass loads where mostly 50,000lb loads when I drove for Metler, fun, fun, fun. Thanx for the videos I enjoy them immensely.

I can see a good lawyer getting a lot of tolls reversed due to people claiming the vehicle was on a trailer. Especially since I bet they don't retain the photos for long if even at all.

Fun with a Double Drop trailer it's even more fun with a Double Drop Stretch trailer I've hauled them all and only miss it a little bit.
I'm sure you've lost a few Gopro's that way huh? Bummer. Nevertheless, beautiful Superliner, would have been smart to unload all their tools and remove the plates BEFORE you showed up, maybe you got there early, who knows. I never saw you have to make that many attempts the lock in, and you've hauled some heavy s**t, so that Mack is HEAVY. Great work man, keep it up, stay healthy, peace.

Hello Steve 🙂in the "love /hate" relationship with cab overs truck drivers say "cab over back up much easier then" as you said the" ardvark" truck cabs
Avoid the railroad crossing when loading the heavy objects that is loaded and secured, like this 50,000 lbs Mack wrecker. Also it is easier to back up onto the trailer then driving forward onto the trailer because the weight of the truck. Look like the tires of the Mack wrecker look like brand new and it hasn’t been used not even once on the road.
Just tire dressing to make them look good

What's bad about the PA TP is if you don't have EZ Pass, the toll is literally DOUBLE the EZP rate!!!

That's why i never used those kind of trailer's. Cause when u detach. They are hard to lock back up. That is why i have ramp's that folds down. And i can load up heavy machinery easy.

Actually, PA Turnpike was eliminating toll collectors before COVID hit. Over the last several years they converted to EZ Pass and photos.

I always bind down after I have the trailer hooked up to the truck. With a heavy load, do you ever have to tighten up your binders again due to the trailer flexing when you hook up?

Yes and now it was in my local newspaper PA turnpike there are many people not paying the tolls.
Vehicle registration will be suspended....that's just a beginning to the grief when you get stopped for that...gives them probable cause to go fishing for what else they can find. Be happy when Wolf is gone.
COVID-19 just sped up the process for getting rid of the toll takers by a few months. Had been planned for a long time. Lost revenue is at 104 million between between June 2020 and 2021. Some proposals are bring back toll collectors in certain areas.
Loading ramps: Secured.
Roof antennae: Secured.
Exhaust stacks: Removed and secured.
Truck itself: Chained and secured.
Go-Pro: Meh!

Just under 100,000 gross with a 3 axle trailer. The load was about 57,000

No need to block the exhaust on trucks as the mufflers, etc. block the air to the turbo.

You were doing fine until you put that hook on that shiny white eye on the body
...And the antenna to wiggle and chafe against the bare chrome air horn and the loose chrome stack tips to wiggle and roll against each other on the metal shelf. I hate to be the nitpicker but these three details will leave damage and really upset the person that bought this truck. My theory has always been, "the customer will notice if you paid attention to detail and they will notice if you didn't pay attention to detail". I was also surprised he didn't flip his own aluminum ramps 180 degrees so the straps would ride the downward edge instead of the abrupt sharp edge.
Hopefully you got that GoPro replaced or returned back to you

Why didn’t they just drive the damn thing? I brought a 73’ GMC tandem with a smoking 238 Detroit 500 miles back from Illinois that would make that thing look like a brand new truck. Better off to make sure you’ve got decent tires, brakes and lights and run her down the road.
Toll roads should be outlawed - we pay enough damned taxes already which should cover the roads. Here in Kansas, the Kansas Turnpike was only supposed to charge until the cost of building it was paid off. Guess what? It was paid off decades ago and we still pay out the @$$ to use it. We still have people working the toll booths here and the joke is - if you can't do anything else, you can always work for the KTA.
Wv turnpike ( 77 ) same way it was suppose to been paid off in the 80s but they just doubled the cost few years back but there widening it in BECKLEY and few other places was reason for the increase but I get off and go around them if I'm not in a hurry
Quite a few of the toll roads here in Texas have the same story. Supposed to become free after paying off, still charging tolls years after being paid off. Can't let all that good toll money go to waste, politicians gotta make sure they keep lining their pockets.
Pa Turnpike. Hold our beer. Worlds most expensive toll road. What really sucks is a large portion of the tolls keeps public transportation running in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. They have already been sued in court for this and lost. This was passed many years ago by State Legislation.
