It might be worthwhile pointing out that sometimes Wintex can be a RPITA to connect and a couple of basics to look at are the panel profile ie elite not premier and one really obscure one... you have to program the comport you are connecting to as not used when using the software otherwise you get a "cannot establish connection" message
Hi! Is it possible to change the langue set by changing the firmware? I’m considering purchasing a kit online, but it’s a version LS1, while I need LS3. Also, would I be able to access the firmware once I purchase the kit, or is this only available to registered technicians/installers? Thanks!

I’m trying to upgrade it from version v8 so I can install the smartcom, to allow me to control the alarm via the app, Any ideas please?

@@paulroutledge7127 I’d go with ten elite 24 polly it’s the same layout and screws all line up (less work 😉). Will come with firmware that supports Smartcom but still has to be separate. You should be able to use wintex software to same on programming as well.

Hello when I use wintex and program the panel and send it over it puts my panel language to French and I have to change it back do you know how to fix this ?
Forgot to add its classes as a major upgrade so will more than likely wipe the panel. You will need to back it up in wintec or reprogram once upgraded.
I can upgrade your panel remotely if you have a Smartcom attached if not you can only get the software from Texecom as the downloader fetches it straight from the cloud unfortunately. Yeah il get a pc programming guide up in next few days

Yeah changing the firmware would change the language but I’d try defaulting it first and seeing if you language you need is in the list on start up

Premier panels can’t support Smartcom! Unfortunately you need to upgrade the whole panel to a Premier Elite.

Hi, if you have changed the engineers code from default 1234 to say 2345 will I need to also put the new 2345 into both wintex and panel UDL password?
No the UDL password is separate from the panel codes

Wintex is 8.1 v flasher software is 6.8 v using com port 1
Not the wintec version the panel version enter menu 4 into the keypad

Easier to let Texecom Cloud do it if you have access to it.
Ashley Gavin you need to connect a Smartcom to do that which you can’t do without software above Version 3!
