It's actually easy to open you just have to press a bit on the case as you are opening the latch..think of it as a a double protection system as even a latch can get tangled and opened
thanks good points, i like the strap you can use or make a hook and loop on an inside pocket of a jacket and tether it to that if you're in a high risk situation or if you're worried you might lose your wallet in an activity
It's actually a great wallet, I own one of course. It's great for exactly what it's intended for, to keep your stuff dry and tethered so you won't lose it. It's not meant for daily carry to be used constantly sifting through cards. Hope that helps
Actually I own the original pelican sport wallet and it is slimmer and opens easier, I bought this newer wallet because it seems to lock better and holds a bit more
I just ordered this wallet and my intended use is to protect all my cards and ID in the elements. My young sons race motocross and we will be camping in a tent at over 20 tracks over the next 6 months with zero hook ups and tons of dust and rain/mud. My wallet got soaked last year through my back pack (I thought it was waterproof) and it still smells of mildew lol. Most transactions I'm doing is through my Android watch NFC.
@@PackHacker2 thanks brotha, just received the wallet today along with other Pelican Personal Ruck cases. Love the wallet but as another reviewer mentioned, be great to have a ramp at the top of the top card slot holder. Really hard to get anything out of there when you need to. Otherwise, pretty much my needs will be met and more with this wallet case.

@@PackHacker2 right on, was at the track all weekend and was a great wallet so far. No sharp edges to tear the insides pockets of my rain shell jacket. My house key attached to my car key fob did scratch up the wallet. Latch becomes easier to open and I would suggest putting your most used cards on the bottom section with your ID under your two most used cards.
It seems that the primary features of this wallet are the RFID blocking and the Pelican-level protection. People can easily have 3-5 RFID cards: apartment access, office access, mass transit, and credit/debit cards. The one currently being used could be on the outside strap while the rest are protected inside. I would use a credit-card sized key pocket for a key to keep it in place. I currently only have 1 actively used RFID card, and when that gets to 3 or more, I'll definitely get this product.
I don’t think this wallet is meant for every day carry. It is for certain situations like hiking, boating, etc... I like the fact that it is waterproof but because it doesn’t float it would be of no use to me.
I live in Europe and Pelican does no ship this model . European “ Peli” does not have this model available here ! I’ve tried to contact Pelican several times but they did not answer any of my mails .
To be honest, it just kind of happened. A friend of a friend got me the job, and it went from there. I’ve been off the water for a few years now, but there are days that I miss it 🌊 -Eric
@@PackHacker2 i was in the navy from 98-07. Got out and for 15 years there was a void that couldnt be filled. Im headin to albania tomorrow to catch a ship. I couldnt be happier. Once you sail, its just in your blood. Youll always miss it. Im going to binge your vids now! Haha! Ill always support a fellow sailor.
Thanks for the support, and enjoy the next job! I have to imagine that working on the Adriatic/Ionian/Mediterranean is entirely different. We’ll see you in the next one! -Eric
I have a small Pelican case that is large enough to fit my iPhone in a case... in the past I have put credit cards Etc in that... Couldn't care less if Keys got wet! I have done river-rafting another activities in which this would have come in handy... definitely an item I would consider picking up for these activities... My pacsafe wallet is fine for daily. Edit, I followed the pH link and the price is reasonable... At $39 I'm still considering but now that I think about it.. I have a stasher go bag as it is called... I think there are different sizes and mine is big enough to put my iPhone in case and cards Etc... If you know stasher bags it's silicone and this one has a carabiner attached so since I might not be going over Rapids any moment soon I'm a stick to my stasher bag for now for Watersports, but I put this item on a wishlist and it's good to know it's out there if I need it!
This wallet is designed for the target market that want absolute protection of their valuable. For those enjoy water sports, world travelers that go beyond tourist hotspot, solo backpacker, law enforcement, military, camping, professional security industry, etc
I ordered mine & should be here soon. As an avid motorcycle rider this is going to be great for when I get stuck riding home in the rain.

If i were to put a tile, or any wallet finding gps device, would it be able to send a signal through, would that work?

Is there anything similar to this better suited for daily use?

Waterproof, but doesn’t float. What’s the use case for that combination of qualities? I’m confused…. 🤷♂️
@@DeeEllEff he wants it to be waterproof and float. Im not sure why it doesnt float, though.
is this capable of holding 10-12 cards please, I wanted to know before I purchased one? Thank you

It’s difficult to open because it’s purpose is to be waterproof. To knock that isn’t entirely right.
I saw Nomatic came out with their access pouch and sling. Will u guys review those any time soon? 👍
Hey Erraticc - I passed this along to our editor for consideration!

Feels like they created a product that no one asked for...
They saw the success of the Flipside 4 and upped the ante.
@@VishalRaoOnRUclips They were trying to mimic Rimowa luggage 😁

It's too big for a wallet and too small for about everything else.
nice but it is freaking massive!
