ABOUT KIM'S CONVENIENCE:
"Kim's Convenience" depicts a Korean Canadian Kim family that runs a convenience store in the Moss Park neighbourhood of Toronto: parents "Appa" (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and "Umma" (Jean Yoon) - Korean for dad and mom, respectively - along with their daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Simu Liu). Other characters include Jung's friend and coworker Kimchee (Andrew Phung) and his manager Shannon (Nicole Power). The series is based on Ins Choi's 2011 play of the same name. Mr. and Mrs. Kim have worked hard to give their now-twenty-something children, Janet and Jung, a better life in Canada. This comedy finds laughter in the trials of running a literal 'Mom and Pop' shop while raising kids in a culture not quite your own.

I’m no makeup enthusiast but I think the purpose of the eyeliner is to make your eyes appear their largest best, the purpose of the mascara is to make your eyes look fuller and eyeliner is put one the very edge of where the eyelid and eyelash meets and mascara is directly applied on the lashes

That's actually quite clever.
Kim wasn't being polite out of fear of being labelled Islamophobic, but out of genuine regard for his customers.
Roger was just naturally curious and the girls were sensible enough to understand that a lot of people would struggle to differentiate between them and appreciated that Kim was making the effort.

I'm a Muslim, but I didn't see anything bad, but for me, I can easily tell who is it's really not that hard

I did something like this with my friends. One has this from the gut laugh, one female had a huge chest, and my husband has a slight bounce when he walks. People ask me where is so and so. *Spot quirk* There they are.
Anyone else notice how he addresses the girl in the black dress and blue stripes as Naya when they first come in, and than calls her Reshma the 2nd time around.

Getting it right or wrong is not the point, it is that he actually cares for and respects them as human beings.
And they prove the 50% because he called them each one name when they came in and called the girl in the black/blue dress one name, and then when she approached the counter he called her the other's name.

I had a Japanese friend growing up when I was a child and my ignorant parents would always assume he was Chinese no matter how many times I would tell them he wasn't. Eventually they got it right but the point of the story is that they weren't racist, just ignorant.

At first i read this as your canceling this show because of this clip 😂 but yeah its growing on me with its charms and flares. I think seeing all the different customers and appa's interactions with them is the best .

Not gonna lie, hearing the cool blue-collar X-wing pilot from The Mandalorian put on a thick, fake accent feels vaguely offensive somehow! 😅 I get it, it’s his own ethnicity and seems to be a positive representation (and IRL the actor’s probably just imitating his parents/family & friends who immigrated) but it still threw me for a second!

Getting it right 50% of the times means he just gets lucky as it’s a coin flip. Anyone can get it right 50% of the time with random guessing. All the things he mentioned are essentially worthless. If he got it right 60% of the time then it would mean something.
Why is that chick with the hijab called reshma? Reshma is an Indian name and she’s not Indian, the name is associated with the hindus
