Would love to see Jai move up in twelve months after he wipes the floor of all the cruiser weights
I’d like to see him vs the winner of CBS v Riakpohre 2 and then if he wins move up
didn't wipe the flor with briedis.
@@TwistedTransistor88 no but given he had a broken jaw early on he did a very good job. I think he comfortably won and even if Bredis began to switch on towards the end under the circumstances it was very impressive
Briedis wasn’t a tough enough test? The rematch is on Feb 17… Jai stops MB within 6. Good video bro. 😎
I think he was a tough enough test, but more due to external factors like Opetaia’s jaw. Completely agree he’ll get him out inside 6 in a rematch. Thanks man
my opinion is Jai should come up to Heavyweight and do what Usyk done, i'd have loved to have seen the both of them fight in there prime
You think even now whilst there’s all the competition at the top and they’re all tied up, Fury with Usyk and AJ with Ngannou?
Thats not fair analysis and comparison Uysk fought are prime breidis and Jai is fighting one who is soon retiring and more still Jai hasnt won anything significant to compare him with the accolades Uysk has got since his amatuer career
It’s just a common opponent so made the comparison. Hasn’t won’t anything significant? He won the IBF world title and is about to be 2 time cruiserweight world champion…
@@Thomas_Gamble No he's not mate, he's a 1 time cruiserweight world champion, he still holds the Ring Magazine elt which is the only belt that means a damn.
To be 2 time he has to lose it 1 time, he still didn't lose it, and don't even mention the IBF belt as a legit belt, he got stripped cause he didn't rematch Breidis, he couldn't do it cause Breidis was injured........ The IBF is a joke.
The IBF is a joke, I think the WBC is too but the fact is he’s a 2 time champion. In that case Fury isn’t either then by your logic
Agree 100%
He's not better than Usyk... He's got better pop than Usyk but that's it
He’s not better than him yet but I think he could be. He’s still only 28 so time to get better. The issue is that he can’t get any genuine competition
@@Thomas_Gamble I would like to have seen him against guys back years ago when Usyk was fighting in that weight class.
Dorticos
Gassiev
Glowacki
Huck
Bellew
Hunter
Yeah can’t argue with that. He’s certainly not fought anyone of a decent calibre but I don’t necessarily think that’s his fault. Got to remember he was going to fight Riakporhe but Ben pulled him out and the rest of the big guys aren’t even mentioning him. As I said in the video I think it’s too soon for him to go up but I like the sounds of the fight vs the winner of Bivol v Berterbiev. That’ll be a great fight to see where he’s at
@@Thomas_Gamble What are you talking about? He can get all the geniune competition he wants, the Saudis have an interest in him now. When they ar eout her epaying moeny, getting competition is easy.
He’s tried to make the CBS fight but he won’t fight him. He can’t get the competition I don’t think
What a fighter he is !! The Saudi’s want him to fight Artur Beterbiev if he beats Bivol . Now that would be a great fight.
I think that could be an incredible fight! like I said I don’t think he’s at a stage to step up yet, his division seem to be running scared, so why not bring the best of the lower up! 2 elite punchers and top boxers going for it!
@@Thomas_Gamble I agree with you again honest what a great fight it would be, I am most impressed with these two boxers more than all of them . If u want the Saudi bloke interview with duzn he say he will make the fight if Artur Beterbiev beats Bivol which itself is going to be a class fight .
Who knows maybe he’ll even end up fighting both!
💯
Long way to go before he’s as good as Usyk, but he is a class fighter
I agree. Has a lot to prove, but could get there
He UD Breidis while having a broken jaw in round 2, Usyk won via MD. Mate no proof Opetaia ain't better than Usyk.
I think Bredis should keep fighting. He’s still got a lot left
usyk would beat him on points, he wouldnt outbox him and the relying on power advantage to beat usyk has never worked
Yeah I agree. He’s not on Usyks level yet, will have to see what the future holds
@archiesutherland6127 Son wtf are you talking about?
Usyk lost to Beterbiev, got hurt badly by Dubois. Relying on power absolutely works on Usyk, you just need to be small enough and skilled enough to land.
Opetaina being a fellow southpaw cruiserweight gives him all the tools to KO Usyk, on top of that he worked Fury badly in 5 rounds sparring recently.
@@MartialArtsNk low blow from dubois
@@archiesutherland6127 It was indeed a blow to the bladder, but it doesn't changes the fact that Usyk is weak to the body.
His entire career, got dropped by Beterbiev via a body shot in the amateurs too.
Now imagine when a 272 pound Francis gets in and starts ripping your body.
Would he be able to against Usyk though?
JAI is good but he has brittle bones and too much damage broken wrist broken jaw in his fights while uysik did not suffer any injury in his fights coz of his movements. so i think uysik has better defense and offense their about the same so uysik is better.
I’d say Jai has a better offence only because of his power. Usyk is known for wearing opponents down with a high intensity and then getting the win Jai is a power puncher. And I think his broken bones etc will affect longevity and won’t have too much of an impact now. But I also would say Usyk is better as it stands
Is he a naturally right handed southpaw fighter
He’s naturally a lefty but he broke his hand and couldn’t afford to get the operation to fix it for 7 years which meant he got pretty capable with his right hand
Because he`s Aussie mate😛
Looking good at the moment, with Tszyu too!
True. Both the Tszyu are pretty good@@Thomas_Gamble
Putting Australian boxing on the map for sure! Be up there with the NRL AFL soon… maybe not 😂
We do ok in the MMA too mate@@Thomas_Gamble
Cricket too, there’s a few sports Australia is very good at
Move up and challenge usyk then
Easier said than done. Usyk will be tied up with Fury for the best part of half a year and then if he loses will probably retire and if he wins will have the Joshua fight which Saudi want
@@Thomas_Gamble can't see him bothering with AJ again, nobody wants to see that 😂 wouldn't surprise me if fury wants rematch though, I reckon usyk will beat him
I pick Usyk to beat Fury too and I don’t even think it’ll be that close really. But if Fury wins we won’t see the Fury AJ fight
@@Thomas_Gamble I think ngannou could well flatten AJ
Not a chance
Just turned 28 I’m sure
Yeah you’re right. Could see him go up to heavyweight at 30ish I think
Jai is definitely one of the baddest fighters around at the moment I think his foot work is as good as Usyks but he has more power and more bad intentions. I think I saw a interview where he said Usyk is his favourite fighter and you can see that with how he uses his feet to get in and out of range
He’s one of my favourite to watch at the moment. A mixture of a brilliant fighter that’s great on the eye, but also has the power where you’re not sure if it’s about to go at any moment. I can’t wait to see how his future goes!
@@Thomas_Gamble same hear mate, they are talking about him going down to fight bivol beterbiev winner I think he would do well at heavyweight though
I think if the winner is Beterbiev he’ll come up (he’s already spoken about doing that) and if it’s Bivol I’m not sure but can Jai go down?
@@Thomas_Gamble he’s not a huge cruiser but I think his future lies at heavyweight I think he has the style and skills to give the big men problems
I completely agree. I also think there comes a point where size isn’t the be all end all. At the lower weights, the weight/size difference is so important, but I think at cruiser and heavy the weight/size difference actually sometimes plays into styles. Look at Usyk, Mike Tyson, Holyfield etc
Hes very overrated...
You think Jai is overrated?
@@Thomas_Gamble in terms of skill yes...he's not on usyk level not even close. He lacks balance when he fights on the front foot. He just has better pop than usyk that's all.
@@Alexander1997T I agree with that. He’s definitely not on Usyks level, but he’s also a lot younger than Usyk. I think he has heaps of potential and as his opposition levels up I think he’ll start to really show what he can do too
@@Thomas_Gamble I already see his potential the guy is 28. He should be successful as a heavyweight. But reaching usyk level. I highly doubt that. He's not built like that.
Do you think he’ll be able to do what Usyk has done though? Undisputed at cruiser and unify heavy
