We just picked up our first Villainous set, Evil Comes Prepared. Thoroughly enjoyed the game play, and how thematic each character felt to play. I’m definitely interested in trying out more and mixing up the different characters now
Oh that's great. Scar is quite a tricky character but when it comes together it's glorious ! I do like how you make a line of Succession with him! Who do you think you'd want to get next and who do you want to see in the future ?
@@BoxedMeeples definitely a satisfying win if you can pull it off! I think King Candy or Pete sound the most intriguing, and also anything Star Wars, cause you can never have too much Star Wars.
I wanting to get the game villainous but not sure if I want the original base game or the updated introduction game. What do think would be a better one to get?
@isabelle-haedaddictwithcra9641 there's a few differences. The new version has less characters, so the only way to get Queen of hearts and Jafar is to buy the original green box version. They aren't going to believed separately. The new Introduction to evil was a redesign to make some characters easier to win with, for players with less board game experience. Ursula has been completely reworked. Maleficent just needs 4 curses to win at anytime (not at start of turn), an ally at the location is required to play a curse. Hook no longer has last location locked and Peter Pan is no longer required to be played. Prince John is no longer super easy to win with as he needs Robin Hood in jail and 20 power.
@isabelle-haedaddictwithcra9641 we don't own the new version , but I'd suggest if you've played a lot of board games then there's no reason to get the simplified version of villainous with less characters.
@isabelle-haedaddictwithcra9641 According to the lead designer: [Introduction to Evil] was not created to rebalance or fix anything. It was created to find a way to introduce new players to the greater Villainous world (hence the name). The entire point of this set was to streamline the onboarding and learning curve that was stopping those interested in the Disney characters and theme, that you so love, but were intimidated by either trying something new or just by joining a new hobby they feared would be too difficult to understand. He further added, Each of the Villains, therefore, were redesigned to limit confusion (and yes, all 4 had serious confusion or balance issues) and reduce their learning curve [...] To be honest, a hard-core Villainous fan is not our target for this product. If you buy it, and I think you should, this is the game you would play (or give to someone) to introduce those non-gamer Disney fans to the world of Villainous. That was the goal. Worst Takes It All is not going anywhere.
@isabelle-haedaddictwithcra9641 you are playing with bigger play counts make sure you use the updated fate rules where one player can't be repeatedly fated and picked on by everyone else
Love it you two!! For some reason I always like Prince John!! But this is a spot on list. Now to your Lorcana videos...
Ahh yes that is a good shout! I think that is a character that would be highly sort after if we were to do a tournament draft
ahhh my favorite one is maleficent
Sounds like you share Julians taste! Who would you like to see in the next expansion ?

@@BoxedMeeples this makes sense I also have a bigger family so more characters is more appealing to me anyway.
