There is nothing phil can't play . the guy is just incredible. he's got the package as for the voice and his guitar playing and his presence, how he's got the look. he is great live as well as in the studio. keep it going phil! you deserve it bro. your in the show. ride the wave. I used to watch Phil X's guitar demos years ago and he was amazing. Really happy to see him playing with Bon Jovi! I also had no idea he grew up in my city, Mississauga lol.
He used to hold jam nights most Sundays at his parents restaurant. The Erin Street Station in the late 80's early 90's. Je used to hold jam nights in Waterloo at Shooters in 91 92, when I worked there. He is a great guy and can play any song or fake his way expertly thru it.
Just saw this video on 10/23/21 with BonJovi and Phil X is simply outstanding. He is refreshing and completes the band since Richie stepped away. Congratulations Phil X. Good choice Jon. What a great performer. I hope you both write many new songs together that your fans get to enjoy. Much Greatness ahead!!!

BUT the solo and guitar play from Phil is really great. He deserves his spot in the band! His vocals are just not as fitting to some of the classics in my ear. But dang it he can sing though! A great replacement all-in-all!

Phil X is great, a tremendous guitarist and singer. An energetic frontman. He can do it all but writing and selling millions of records is a whole different level.
Why not? It adds so much to the live sound! The music sounds simply phenomenal live with a lead, rhythm and acoustic guitar along with some extra percussion to boost the drums!
This moment made me so nostalgic. I know Phill is a great guitarist and great singer but he isn't the same as Richie Sambora. RIchie was the 50% of the band (with his great back and lead vocals and his AMAZING guitar skills.) I respect Phill but he is not the same as Richie.

I stumbled on Phil about 12 years ago with fretted Americana I was blown away with his talent and wish I could play guitar like that .
