Like people with 2 year-olds complaining of damage & risky behaviour when they won't remove all the dangerous & fragile objects from their reach! He may well be teething too. My 'teenage' cat bit, hooked & chewed everything he could get paws on...including me! As he approaches 1 year, he's a lot calmer!

Rocky is very cute! But that's also why I don't have any indoor pets either.
Probably some sort of rescue habitat would be more suited until he is old enough to be released , at least when he finally does go back to the wild ( if ever can ) he won't be looking for a fridge to jump up onto I guess. LOL Although these are renown for their jumping and climbing skills ,very cute little buggers though.

Everyone is looking at this video like "yep, that's why you don't have pets like that", so it hops on the counter and shits? so what. What about your pet dog that did the exact same shit when it was younger. They chew up furniture, shit everywhere, piss everywhere, dig up holes in the pretty garden in your backyard. But we're not saying "that's why you don't have a dog as a pet!" People are discouraging the idea of this animal as a pet because 1. This lady is highlighting the worst moments 2. People aren't used to the idea of having this unique animal as a pet because it's not as common. Yet it is common to have exotic animals such as sugar gliders and 15 foot boas in your house?? Besides dogs and cats they're all fucking exotic!! lol If you have a reptile or bird you own an exotic animal...period. So don't say "it should be released into it's natural habitat because it's "exotic", such bullshit.

Ppl dont have exotic pets as often also bc its illegal (depending where u live) bc they are expensive, and bc they aren't domesticated yet. Ppl think that if they get an exotic pet when its a new born it will just be fine, when rlly it wont. Dogs and cats took thousands of years to become domesticated and still have a few wild instincts. As for maybe like a wallaby it didnt have the same amout of time to become domesticated and will act wild in the house and might even become depressed bc its not its natural habitat. Ofcourse im not saying that's exactly how this particular wallaby feels, he might actually be happy, but exotic pets are way more likely to have to deal with that bc they wanna be free unlike dogs and cats.

Yeah they were probably born captive, most exotic pets are still pets and not illegal to have.
The only important thing is ifthe owner takes responsibility and cares for it.
