    Long time ESO PvP'er here.
You're still at very low MMR.(Match maker ranking) In higher MMR, you're in for a bad time. Everyone is almost unkillable.
There's also no way to lower MMR, it only goes up. You're also in under 50 PvP. In max level PvP, you're going to find the most broken, unbalanced, glitchy matches and build exploits you'll experience in any game.
You need to be using food at all times for stat increases, even in PvE, and potions are essential. Level up your alchemy, because there's a function that extends potion duration time.
And use food, for goodness sake. Food gives extra resources, while drinks typically give you increased sustain. And you need to learn burst combos. PvE is about sustainable damage, while PvP is all about the burst combos.

  • @FlashyJoer

Gear, potions/food and skills. Folks have been saying it, yes, but gotta drive this one home, lol. You really need a tuned gear-set for BGs (and Cryo/IC too). You simply cannot go into BGs wearing the basic overland mixed sets that you use for delves, as an example. You really want to find a build guide that caters to your class and then play around with the various suggested sets to find the combination that best suits your needs and your playstyle. I personally find a fortified 5 piece of Fortified Brass from Clockwork City DLC to be a fantastic tank set for BGs, as all its set item bonuses are extra armor and health related. Food, it cannot be stressed enough that you really want a food/drink buff prior to starting PVP content. With the right passives in your provisioning skill line, you can get 4 drinks and food items for every one you craft. There is no need to not carry a stack of food/drink items that suit your needs (for you, something that gives you a good 5k extra health and maybe some stamina regen for sustain). Same for potions, use the Alchemy skill line to get the passive that gives you 4 potions for every 1 crafted and then look into making yourself a solid stack of Tri-Pots (water, columbine, mountain flower and bugloss) so you can quickly get burst on your resources (HP, Mag, Stam), plus some added regen for sustain. And finally, as others have mentioned throughout the comments, start stacking up your passives - do not ignore them as a skill point wasted. There are more skill points available in this game than you will ever use for a single build, so dont sit on them just because you dont want to run out.
And I suppose as someone else mentioned... just because you may get a handle on things doing the above mentioned items, once you pass into CP levels of MMR (though CP is not used in BGs), it gets hellish if you go in underprepared - constantly get your gear updated even though its going to cost you resources, materials and trait items. You always want your weapons and armor to be as close to your current level as possible. Do not use level 10 armor when you are level 30, for an example. Go craft the set you are wearing, if craftable, or go run the zone that gives you the gear in drops, to refresh to your current level. Or... even better, start using your Transmutes in Clockwork City to reconstruct your gear items with the traits that you want, rather than hoping for them to drop in overland content. Guild traders are also an option, albiet a more expensive one. Still... keep your gear at your level, and you will do fine! And above all, do NOT be afraid to use your crafting quality items to improve your gear! Never go above Epic (purple) until you hit CP160 though - no point wasting gold quality items on gear you will just replace constantly.
One thing I noticed in your death breakdown suggestions was that you didnt have a Mundus. Go get one that is applicable for tanking. Everyone else you are playing against definitely has one and you should too! Id suggest The Serpent for the added Stamina regen, and then make all of your 7 armor items use the Divines trait to make that mundus bonus even bigger!
Finally... couldnt really tell from your short-from video here, but I would also suggest you learn and perfect the art of "light weaving". Ie: going after an enemy at 1/2 HP with a burst attack, an ultimate and a spammable. But, weaving a light attack in between each one. Burst, light, Ult, light, Spammable, light, Spammable, light, etc etc. Think of it like a heartbeat. Each step of your weave is one beat of the heart. You perfect that, you will be WAY above the curve and do some MASSIVE damage and get higher kill counts.
Hope these tips help you! And note, all of this is just as applicable for overland and group content like dungeons, arenas and trials too, not just PVP.

I'm glad you had fun in B.G.'s!!
Food Buff's!! You can either key bind them or just use one before a PvP outing! If you can't make them yet, you can buy some pretty decent food in Cyro at the seige vendor. But DO hotkey your pots! You need them! The Tri-stat ones you get for logging in are good enough at low levels and overland.. You can buy those also or ask a friend to make some.
The guys with the Green beams & Dorito's floating are Arcanists... Meta atm. Necro's are always a bit tanky, but their burst damage isn't the best right now. And that IS what you want in PvP, Burst damage.
Most of my lowbie characters will wear dropped sets, with the exception of PvP characters, not only do I keep them current, but in good sets. It really is needed.
Did you get a house ( free Inn Room ) yet? You can get the Armory Station free so that you can swap from a PvE setup to a PvP setup free.

U50 PVP is the funniest. You have a huge range from people who just started playing and are trying it out for the first time to veteran PVPers who are leveling a new character, wearing very decent crafted gear. People don't have all their skills leveled and level scaling messes with the stats, so it becomes quite random.
Later on people have at least somewhat reasonable builds with fully leveled skills and all the passives. That does not take away much from the pace of things, but you definitely get rolled if you don't set up for it properly.

Hahaha welcome to ESO! Low level BGs are a crap shoot 😂 - lots of genuine first timers and newcomers to the game but also veterans rolling a new character smurfing with crafted sets that newbies typically don’t have (most new players just go with random gear they picked up while questing). So don’t sweat it too much, just learn the mechanics and understand that the real BGs start after level 50, cp 160, when you start putting together coherent builds with coherent gear sets.

  • @Frogthroat1

For the love of Akatosh, put one skill point in the Continuous Attack passive. No need for more than one unless you are in Cyrodiil.
In PVE and PVP you need completely different builds. Have you gotten the free Armory from the Crown store already? It comes with 2 slots by default but you can buy more. You can save a PVE and a PVP build in it once you are CP160. Before that, you can use it to reset your character for free. Just load an empty slot. Of course you can save your build even before CP160 but there's very little point in it.
I usually play PVE but in ESO I have tried PVP and actually liked Cyrodiil. Battlegrounds is ok, too, but I really like Cyrodiil. I only go to Imperial City during Mayhem to get my daily tickets. The different builds you can make work in Cyrodiil makes it very diverse. In Battlegrounds you need the broken tanky build with insane burst, same in Imperial City. But Cyrodiil gives you a bit more freedom with what works. Although, the current tank meta limits the sets people typically use to a handful of meta sets. But there's still space for those who like to try fun off-meta builds.

Generally there's three ways to build a character in ESO. If you want to be a tank, you go 100% on health and take abilities that get stronger with HP. For Physical DPS, 100% stamina. Magical DPS and Healer, 100% magicka. Mixed builds in the long term just can't keep up in PvE, let alone PVP. It's a big downside in what I consider to be an otherwise pretty good game for building your own playstyle. (Almost every class can be built to physical or magical play, although dragonknight and nightblade are more phys based and Sorcerer and Watden are usually better mag based.)

Skill has no bearing other than if you're fighting a 1vX player most of the time tbh. Most eso players casually pvp and just run around as zerglings. Cyrodil is insane, battlegrounds are far more new player friendly.

Also armor and crit resist are massive. No crit resist, you're begging to die

ESO is an embarrasing bugfest that ZOS doesnt care to fix as long as you keep shoveling money at them. You cant even pvp in cyrodiil cause the lag spikes will eat your inputs. This game is barely more than the failure fallout 76 was, and by the same people. Don't waste your money on this horrible game guild wars is better

Literally someone says this about every game or weapon in any game.
Creating a perfectly balanced experience is nearly non-existent in complex sandboxes which is why it experiences metas.
The only way you get balance is if there is 1 class, 1 armor set and 1 weapon with 5 standardized skills and an ultimate.that everyone shares.
Sounds a bit boring to me.
