The “lovely” Idyllen (Idylls 田園詩) Walzer Op. 95 marks the very 1st publication of Johann II’s works by the Imperial-Royal Court music-shop of Carl Haslinger (1816-1868), who promoted his publication by selling a lithograph of the composer, as he appeared in June 1851, conducting his waltz Idyllen at the head of his orchestra in the Volksgarten [used as the “Thumbnail” of this RUclips Video].
The “alluring” Op. 95 is one of the ONLY four (4) Johann II’s Waltzes written in the key of A-flat major (変イ長調).The other three (3) are: • Johann Strauss II: Pan... • Windsor-Klänge, Op. 10... • "Hell und voll" - Joha...
Heel mooi!!!

Zijn er cd's met deze prachtige opnamen van al de werken van Johann Strauss uitgevoerd door het Courtesy of Otto Schulz-Biedermeier Orchestra (1950s)?
As a pianist of some sort I simply cannot play in the key of A. Flat Major. I wonder why Johann chose this key and yet his more familair items are in the key of C. Major like Kaiser, Weiner Blut, Schatz
