The areas are "protected” so that future generations can see the rock formations as they undergo weathering over time through the agency of the environment. Those who disturb the process are taking away from those future generations.

The last 30 seconds of your video tell the whole story - outside the park is a vast desert where you can take your chances with nature and play with rocks all you want. Of course the lumpy idiots caught on-camera destroying the park would never venture out there, knowing that one dumb mistake would put their chances of survival at near-zero. And based on their behavior, thses two lead lives full of dumb mistakes. I believe in heavy fines and jail time for anyone who thinks tearing up a protected area is fun.
You nailed it! Didn't think of it that way, but now that you mention it, it's better they are contained inside the park to help mitigate the damage they do. That's what I was getting at making the joke about National Parks being "Walmart of the Outdoors" . We see a lot of this idiotic behaviour in Death Valley NP also. The guy almost fell multiple times on the video and I bet he'd just count on the rangers and first responders to get there ASAP to airlift him to the hospital. Can't fix stupid...
Delicate Arch was damaged a few years ago, by some do gooders too. I don't understand why some people don't see the problem and think is is ok to do this because it will fall anyway eventually.
If there’s an unsafe situation, tell the park rangers! Like I did in Canada., People have to clean up after their dogs, but horse riders don’t have to after their horses! That’s gross and unsafe!
Yep! Unfortunately Redstone is out in a remote part of the park with no cell service so by the time they notified rangers they were long gone. Funny you mention the horse droppings too because there are wild burros and horses around this part of the park and they leave road apples everywhere 😂
Too many people are just 2-legged a"N"imals - which is a disgrace statement to 2-legged, 4-legged, winged, and finned animals !!! Animals don't tear down natural landscape ... they DO tear down and tear up human constructions and containers.

In many Places, they pay Companies to do this, for safety. I don't really see a Problem here, this Boulders would fall anyway at some time but uncontrolled and may hurt or kill People.
