Thank you for sharing. I saw my first brown snake today. Educating myself really eased my concerns and in spite of being a life-long snake hater, I started to find it cute.

I live in the Atlanta area. Those Georgia brown snakes are all over the place. Anyone in the Atlanta area who owns a home will see them. I think they like to eat snails and bugs. You’ll find them anywhere in your yard where they can hide.

I am in a rural area at the foothills of the north Georgia mountains and I have seen several solid gray baby snakes. Any ideas on what kind?

Nonvenomous snakes, like the ones shown in this video, are protected in Georgia and may not be kept as pets.
