    I love Suda 51 games. I have this one, brand new and sealed, but I played it on PS2 many years ago. Only Suda game that I don't own is Michigan: Report From Hell for the PS2. It was released only in Europe and as far as I know, it's one of those "so bad it's good" games.

      Nice! I originally played this on PS2 back in 2006 cause it was $10 back then when I got it, and while I really enjoyed it then, the longer load times ruined the flow of the game. I never heard of Michigan: Report from Hell! I'll need to give that a look! Thanks for checking out the review!

    Killer7 is one I've always wanted to play. I love Suda51 so this has always been one that I needed in my collection. The plot sounds very intricate but I think you've done a good job explaining it without spoiling anything. Wow I had no idea this had rail mechanics. That's pretty cool that you can upgrade personas in this. That menu screen does look nice. I already wanted this before but this looks even better than I imagined. Awesome review!

      I can’t recommend this game enough to you man! Such a fresh, inventive, one-of-a-kind experience. Haha thanks, it may have taken almost 20 years, but I definitely understood the plot more now than 16 year old me 😂. The overall mechanics truly are in a league of their own. I promise you, you’ve never played anything like this! Glad you enjoyed the review man!!

    Killer7 has captured my imagination since I first saw screenshots of it in a Game Informer magazine, all the way back in 2007-2008. I didn’t know about the PS2 version back then, and I didn’t have a GameCube as a kid, so I had to wait quite a while until I could play it on my Wii. That PS2 port is actually supposed to be inferior to the GC version, with long load times and bugs to boot (though when I tried it last year on an HDD connected to the machine, it worked just fine). Can’t say there’s a game quite like this one though. Definitely one of my secret favorites.

    • @GameCubeGalaxy
      @GameCubeGalaxy  3 месяца назад +1

      Nice! That's awesome you got it eventually to play backward compatible on the Wii. Yeah, the PS2 version is how I first played this back when I got it in 2006 cause it was only $10 when I bought it months after release, and the loading times definitely ruined the pacing, and the analog stick was slightly off with aiming. Glad you're a fan of this game, and appreciate you checking out the review!

    I couldn't help noticing the cutscenes generally didn't have captions, which, for someone like me, might make the complex story even harder to follow. Also, the constant of mention of personas - surely this isn't connected to the Persona series in any way...
    Still, I might give this a try, either on GCN or maybe Steam.

    Killer7 is one of the most interesting games I have ever seen. A lot of auteur developers either have really out there stories or out there gameplay and but killer7 is just out there on both. I have never seen anything close to killer7 ever again. But it’s also funny and not overly protenious. It’s also a game is mostly complete and seeing Suda run wild on an actual budget and no restrictions was sick.
    I think it’s flawed for sure but it’s games like these that really make me appericate the 6th generation.

  • @teneesh3376
    @teneesh3376 19 дней назад

    I am so glad this game has gotten a pretty good remaster on PC. It's definitely not perfect.
    The tutorial button prompts will only show xbox buttons. So play on mouse and keyboards is basically mashing buttons until you get something right.
    In engine cutscenes show more instead of zooming in and cutting oout the borders. The game's cutscenes sre original made with 16 by 9 in mind. So you either get more empty space that kinda messes with composition of scenes
    Textures have not been touched. So blurry textures are really blurry.
    Shame these arent fixed. But the positives heavily outweigh the negatives by a lot
