I feel if you(JUST YOU) weren't in anymore videos starting in 2022 I would consider it.
Aaaaaand this is awesome. Brann sounds so good doing Ozzy stuff!!!
I've seen loads of live cover bands here on YT cover Ozzy songs, usually with Rudy Szarzo, and the vocalists are universally shit.
Brann nails it.
Hi Uncle Ben!
Uncle Ben is here, yay!
I see that you and Steve do not keep the same schedules lmao
Also, Uncle Ben guest spot when?
Brann sounds good whatever he does 😁🤟
It is unfair how fucking talented everyone in Mastodon is. Also, this is my favorite cover so far.
No doubt. It's beautiful.
They’re like a fuckin supergroup, but better. Shits wild.
Right? Brann's not even playing drums here, but he's such a friggin good singer.
Try this one, with a 10 year old Japanese girl drummer, she's got perfect timing. ruclips.net/video/Wf3q0LP_CJw/видео.html
@@michaelkeudel8770 good, but not better. This version kicks ass. 🤘🤩🤘
What's wild is Brann isn't even the most Ozzy-sounding dude in Mastadon.
when i saw the announcement for this I thought for sure Dirty B HInds would be on vocals
They should've gotten Brent to do this.
@@gudalpesanz It has to happen at some point I hope
An even more drunken Ozzy, that's how awesome Brent sounds like.
@@gudalpesanz As much as I love Brent, he's probably much harder to get a hold of. Man is a bit of a wild card.
Brann + ozzy wig = post-2000s weird al
You win the internet.
I was thinking the same thing but couldn't phrase it as succinctly as you!
I was just going to post that ahahaha
Shit and I thought I was the only one to comment this
I wonder if they should be roping in Weird Al for a cover....
That entire wall of EVH cabs is such a flex. RIP Eddie.
You beat me to my comment. RIP Eddie. Thank you Eddie for painting my teenage years white, black and red.
Greatest amps ever made... tone and durability.
@@SaberToothGary I'll buy another amp. My 5150 combo is everything I need and more.
Dude. Right?
Brann sounds like Ozzy, but looks more like Dio in that wig.
...looks like fuckin' Weird Al!
Man Over The Silver Mountain
He looks like Ted Nugent in the 70's
I feel like that's deliberate
@@barndawg77 yeah that's what i'm getting the most
I have had this song in my head daily for twelve years. I work at a power plant that employs large pumps resonating at the same basic chord as the song. Everytime I leave the office to enter the plant I hear the first three notes.
Outstanding having Brann singing. Keeping the Mastodon guys in a steady rotation I see.
It's about time they got some quality musicians.
Just need Brent
I think it's a condition of their unemployment benefits ;)
Well, still waiting for brent
@ having Nick and Seb from baroness is also a plus
Looks like Brann ascended Blood Mountain & obtained the Crystal Skull..
Anyone go 'Wait, that's not Brann on drums! ...oh wait, yeah, the guy can really sing as well". Also, major kudos for getting some Kvelertak into people's lives.
for the first 30 secs i was like "brann looks weird.. maybe its just the lighting" then it changed to "thats not brann.. where is he then?" and then "oooohhh.. wow!"
I love how I never even remotely considered that he might just be singing haha. Then once I heard him I was like "yeah of course he would be on Vocals for this"
Gwarsenio's sofa sees a lot of hard action.
Im amazed that its survived as long as it has so far...
Its got to give at some point soon.
I'd call it more rough trade but agreed
@@brandongreene3213 you can do that when you're made of pure free range fibers of satanic origins
But there is no job...
So we not gonna talk about how hard that solo is? Randy Rhodes was godlike and these guys did it justice.
Agreed though he messed up near the end. GOAT of metal songs
Right?!? This was excellent. 🎉
Gwarsenio Hall is living his best life and supplying so much serotonin
Now, we all know that Brann could have easily sung this while also playing drums, however I love me some Baroness almost as much as I love me some Mastodon, so getting Sebastian behind the kit was the cherry on top.
That was pretty fuckin' awesome. Love the Diary intro and the Black Sabbath neatly tucked in there, too!
The BS was smooth
me checking the drummer: what the hell happened to Brann Dailor?
me checking the vocalist a bit more: ah, that happened :D
Haha same
Over The Bloodmountain
This is an underrated comment. Perhaps people don’t know Mastodon’s discography that well.
Hah I see what you did there....
Well, he does have a crystal skull #mastodonsongjokes
Brann just slays the vocal here. He's a more capable Ozzy than Ozzy is these days (sadly). He's not necessarily doing an impression, which is even cooler. Gwarsenio's harmonies with him are killer.
The Beatle bass is wildly out of place and I love it.
Dude, I had a bandmate in an old alt-rock band I was in, who used one of those basses. I was shocked how much punch it had, it lends itself well to harder music, surprisingly enough!
daaaa, what you aspect from an 71 year old man, who take cocaine just like taking Kitkat from the stores. he's amazing he could singing well these day. i know could'nt pull out his singing just like when he was young.
I feel like this is just Brann on a daily basis. He just recorded himself and sent it in. But awesome none the less.
I’ve noticed that we’re more concerned about GH’s couch than GH himself.
To hell with the couch, they're free. How's Gwarsenio?
The best cover I’ve ever seen 🤌🏻🇧🇷🤘🏻
Not seeing enough love for Schleibaum in the comments. Mike totally killed it and Darkest Hour ruuuules!!
Agree! Great band and he can shred!
Dude KILLED it on this cover and really makes it IMO. One of the best headbanging guitarists for sure
The arrangement
Pure genius
SPOT ON with the vocals. Mr. Dailor is a multi-talented dude.
Big shout out to our homies at Liquid Death Mountain water for helping us put this guy together. Buy some burp water and recycle, you juggalos. liquiddeath.com/
Interested in a copy of my yet to be released 7 in 1 guitar tuning chord book? 150 chords per tuning (2 bonus tunings). Accompanied always with my complete 5 through 9 note scale book? Scale book lists which chords are "available" per note per scale. For real, home made seeing my local printer/copier tuesday.
More Dailor`s vocal video!!!!
I got a can of sparkling at 7am before work last week and got carded because they thought it was beer lol.
So.... what's the ratio of cans of liquid death water to cans of liquid death blood per order? Is it random? Can I customize an order? Asking for a friend of course
I saw what you did there. I like the story of how Randy surprised Ozzy in the studio by playing the riff for the song Black Sabbath as the solo intro for Over the Mountain without ever knowing the song. Ozzy told Randy that he just played the first song off the first Sabbath album and it was a full circle cosmic moment from what Ozzy said about it. You served that story well here in music. Way cool.
Brann hamming it up as Ozzy & Marvin grooving on a Beatles bass with "deal with it" glasses on made my day. I love the "Diary..." intro & "Black Sabbath" into solo transition. Excellent cover!
So refreshing to see Brann singing a full song.
This rules, love the Madman intro! One of my all time fav albums, and such a great cover.
same. the only thing i have in my house pictures or otherwise of any bands or metal is a coffee mug right here on my desk of that album cover on it. that album basically turned me into a full on metal head. it's the first actual album i ever bought. that and soon after Mob Rules, which is also one of the best albums and album covers ever.
Am 51. Been jammin' a long time. Take it from me, this is absolutely the best OTM cover EVER! Vocals, bass, guitars, drums, mixing, attitude, attack, ALL OF IT! So happy to have this to jam to. Thanks brothers. Keep jammin'!🙏💜☺👍
Mercyful Fate w/ Brann, pleassse :)
Gwarsenio doing that falsetto would be magical
joecold1243 also true. I guess I just like the idea of Mercyful Fate for Halloween :)
@@joecold1243 check out Mastodon doing "chop you up with a linoleum knife" to hear branns falsetto haha
@@ThrashXCV that song was one of the best parts of the ATHF movie. I know it well 🤘
Yes!! This!!
The best thing about these cover versions its that, first, they are cover versions: not trying to do the exact same thing as the original, but giving it a spin. Also the fact that you guys always pick great songs instead of doing like everyone else and playing the one hit song, then we have 543784 covers of the same song, which is basically useless. You pick specific songs, that appeal to the music nerd that always loved THAT song. And, of course everyone is fuckin tallented and killing it on their instrument
I like how they incorporated both diary of a madman and black sabbath into this
That transition from Diary to O.T.M. was exceptionally beautiful! How did I miss this!
Thank you Bob Daisley, Lee Kerslake and of course Randy Rhoads for writing an epic song. Great cover, thanks Two Minutes To Late Night
RIP Lee
Bob Daisley extra thanks for writing the lyrics for Ozzy over the years, and we appreciate you, even though you got stabbed in the back by the Osbourne's after that.
Ozzy also wrote the vocal melodies.
@@sageantone7291 Ozzy and Sharon sued and to try to get Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake's name off the songwriting credits. And replace the parts later. The people who played bass and drums live on the Blizzard of Oz tour and videos were not the ones who played on the album.
@@phillipcarpenterjr1576 I love how people who weren't involved know exactly what happened behind the scenes.
The Brann reveal, though.
Love that nod to Neil Peart at the beginning!
One of my favorite covers ever.
Also, time to become your patreon: your budgets can't have two Brann Dailors anymore, and it's his day off so he wasn't even supposed to be there.
Are you keeping Brann in a cage and forcing him to be in every video? Not a narc--just curious.
I remember when Brann started singing on Mastodon records, I told my brother I thought he sounded so much like Ozzy. This was perfect guys!
That little Black Sabbath bit just before the solo RIPPED!
Branns wig constantly swaying towards that hand candle is more suspenseful than any horror movie I’ve seen
Love the nod to Ghost that the rhythm guitarist shows. If you listen to Ghost and Ozzy side by side, the similarities are endless! They should collaborate!
Bran nails 80s Ozzy, but I bet Brent would slay Sabbath Ozzy vocals
This needs to be on the next bandcamp release. It’s so goddamn good
The drummer is killing it!
Brann Dailor works so FUCKING WELL with the Ozzy vocals. Seriously. Sooooo goooood!
Brann is totally killing this Ozzy cover! Good to see everyone on this cover. Brann is exceptionally great here though! Love his voice!
I'm now 49 years old, and this intro still makes my head bangs, every single time!
What’s really good is that Brann is playing the song with his weak hand and set his set up as a “lefty”! 🤟🤟
I like that nobody tried to ape the Rhodes tone and instead went for their own sick style. Very nice.
So glad to see Kvelertak on here, Marvin has the thickest tone! Got a pick from him at a gig in Brighton! So much love for these guys!
This is perfect. Every cover is better than the previous one.
This only accentuates just how damn good Brann Dailor is at vocals. Bravo to all involved! Slick cover! Badass work. @2Minutes - you got another sub!
Brann in a wig is what I needed this week.
That fucking transition to Black Sabbath at 3:39 though.
Dude singing has the Ozzy for president shirt i had... Got it at the Bark of the moon tour!!
Brann looks like if Weird Al and Peter Steele had a baby.
Brann only singing and not playing drums???
MIND = BLOWN
Great job, fellas🤘
I want Brann's t-shirt! Ozzy for President!!
Beatles bass! Macca would be proud! :)
Schlielbaum!!!!! Glad he made it to the collabs! Dude is a metal super fan, so it’s fitting he would show up here! BAD ASS cover boys!
That was amazing. Gwarsenio is the hero the world needs right now!
Awesome with the Diary Of A Madman intro. Mike Schleibaum did a masterful job with the lead guitar.... Darkest Hour are one of the best metal bands to come out the early 2000's. Prop's to Brann on lead vocals and everyone else here just killing it.... great job boys!
Gwarsenio’s couch is the 8th wonder of the world.............No one knows how it got in the room and no one can comprehend it’s strength.
This is crazy awesome, randy would be proud. Brann killed the vocals!
I wish I had even half of the charisma that Brann exudes. What a cool dude
As a big ozzy fan this was awesome
Last time Baroness was in town we went to a bar after the show, and we blasted over the mountain on the way down. Sebastian was air drumming beside me in the passenger seat while we all sang along.
Diary intro to boot. Sounds great. That was amazing
I think I've watched this cover about 30 times. Now I'm learning Over the Mountain on my riffstick.
Amazing intro with Diary of the Madman.
Can't press the like button enough for this! My all time fav Osbourne song and you guys nailed it!
Man, what a line-up!
Randy Rhodes would be proud. My favorite Ozzy song. Great cover
I love that Brann's not even playing drums on this, just singing.
Fucking love this. You should do more Sabbath covers with Brann on vocals.
Omg, when it lead in with diary I had a woody but such a smooth transition to over the mountain. God bless u blokes. MORE, MORE, MORE.
I cant believe how great Brann;s voice is , as well as a brilliant drummer who knew he could sing that well ,
So glad you guys got to work with Kvelertak finally!
Wow such a great ditty, the intro, the sabbath nipslip, and fantastic choreography
Great cover. I especially dig how in most of these covers, the bass is so clear.
Jesus. Every single video is an amazing metal supergroup.
Just wrote Ozzy on my knuckles with a sharpie. Randy Rhoads forever.
love Brann's voice on this.
love that you used the live arrangement incorporating “Diary” as the intro 🤘🏻
Halloween is fast approaching, Time for a Alice Cooper cover!!!
This made my day. I’ve spent the last two hours at work watching all these vids.
Schleibaum is a riff master, love darkest hour!
Great vocals from Mr dailor
Love that Diary of a Madman intro.
As always... production, artists, and song choice were awesome. Hopefully there's a Helloween special coming soon...
Yessss!! This guitar solo always gave me chills as a kid!!! Siiiccckkkk cover dudes!!!
Brann you absolute madman! This is my favorite cover of the series!
damn brann does ozzy pretty spot on
Kvelertak is the most toe tappin' outfit in business today. So glad to have a discovery of their music in past couple years.
I'm digging jumping on and off the love seat
And here I thought Brent was the only Ozzy sound-alike in Mastodon. This was great!
Brann is definitely solo Ozzy voice. Brent is Ozzy circa Never Say Die and Technical Ecstasy.
The bassist killed it on this version.
