What are you saying? They are still a symphonic metal band? They have even more symphonic elements now than in this song. Yes, Floor doesn't use her operatic vocals that much, but it fits the songs too. What Nightwish has "lost" is mostly the strong power metal influence of the earlier pieces.

But any of those adapted their singing to a metal pace as Tarja did? I don't know any .

Tarja has that rare star quality, when she enters the room, you just cannot take your eyes off of her, she is just mesmerizing. This song is an absolute gem. The lyrics are quite interesting.

I'd love to hear Floor's version, too, with proper high quality audio. However, if I've understood correctly, Beauty and the Beast is special and Tuomas has reserved that as Tarja's song only. I don't know the exact details but as far as I know, this has not been played live since Tarja was kicked from the band.

remember like it was yesterday! back in feb 05 i read that Nightwish was coming to Satx( San Antonio, TX) that September!! i was so excited! then a couple of months later i saw that it was cancelled, but my heart was broken all over again when i read that Tarja had a following out with the band and was fired! they've come twice since then but i cant see them without her!
I’m in satx. I wasn’t really exposed to the band yet but just the thought of them being in my city with Tarja and not knowing their existence irks the hell out of me! Lol I have seen they were touring satx but I didn’t know it was cancelled right after! Oh the timeline saddens me. I’m sorry for your broken heart 💔
I think both are awesome. Targa is OG and Queen of Early NW. Anette was fluffy filler. And Floor is amazing and fiery. Though she will never replicate Tarja, she does her songs justice.
Tarja is wonderful but her voice is sickening. At least I can not stand hearing her singing more than 3 songs. Unlike the Floor that plays with its own voice and sings in several different styles. It's nice to hear Nightwish with Floor.
SheBangsPrP Floor sings rock-pop like Anette did too. There's no "several different style" singing in Nightwish with her. They quitted classical type singing with Tarja (and it's okay with me, I follow Tarja's own career too) and Floor doesn't even like to do clasical singing, by her own words, so I don't think they weill go back to it either.
