Are the batches assigned to me according to my location at the time I turn on the app? Say I'm across town and turn it on will I get batches based on where I am at or is it based on where I live?
This is probably a silly question but when you get to the customer do you take the items out of the cold bag or leave it there? Am I gonna be helping this person put stuff in their fridge? I'm just not clear on that.
Silly question: Is there a scale in the fresh food area to know the weight you need to attain i actually didn't pay attention in any store so far. I am kinda new to all the side hustle gig life.
Sorry for all the questions guys, but there is no one for me to ask this stuff so this should be my last one. The distance that is posted on the app. Is that the distance from the store to the customers house or is it the distance from my home or my current location in case I'm not at home and have time to do a shop, to the nearest store to shop? How can I find out how far the customer lives from my location? I don't want to drive across town for a $10 pay out, so how do I know how far a customer is from me? Thank you!
Does the Instacart shopper app SORT a Costco/other store order? Eg. I need dog food, dog treats, milk, creamo, various veg (some in the fridge room, some not, bread, flour, baking powder, cheese, chicken, frozen meat, frozen veg. As a shopper, does the Instacart app sort these items so that the dog food and treats are beside each other in the Order? (or does it show as the customer ordered the order? (Customer order has dog food, milk, coffee, cheese, dog treats, chicken, hamburger, buns, relish, mayo, eg all these items all over the store (requiring the shopper to either walk all over the store or to sort the items themselves) eg to make a hamburger/feed dog - rather than all veg in one area + fridged veg, all dog food + treats (same aisle) , all dairy (eg. milk, creamo, various cheese), all bakery items shown together?
Full service you shop, pay & deliver..in store shopper you shop, pay & customer picks up at the store. Also, in store shopper, I believe gets a schedule.
Hey buddy, have you been receiving the doordash rewards email monthly? I got the first one in January but haven't gotten 1 since. Plus, is shipt any good?
I am new as of this week and am curious as to what is the difference between Item/ Units? I see this on the batch information and they don't match. Can someone clarify what this is?
I absolutely hate getting orders for Apartments and gated communities, no building number and no gate code when you try to call/text no answer so your sitting there wishing for someone to drive up that lives in the community. I think both apps are easy I make way more doing IC than UE, but nothing beats a UE lunch and dinner rush.
IC was my first gig economy job. I don't care for it too much. It takes long to find all items. Most of the time customers do not respond to text messages and then are unhappy with the substitution I make. If you want to make minimum wage, work for IC.
I agree with a lot of that when it comes to grocery apps, it can take a while to shop then frustrations with item availability. And I've also had customers not respond.
Your pay is based on your ratings. No cancelations unless it's an emergency. .the higher your service( on time, picking good produce, groceries, good customer service, etc.). If you're new, just a suggestion..start with only 1 batch/customer; instead of 2 or 3 batches grouped together; its easier, and you can move quicker..you give all your attention to that one customer. Then once your comfortable move up. I shop like I'm shopping for myself. Be upbeat and communicate, even if they don't respond. They do read your messages. Reach out to IC if you need anything. You'll get really good; the more you do it! The higher your rating; better batches you make. Shop closer to home or the area you're in to maximize time/mileage/profits.
Instacart is a damn joke. The amount of money they pay for you to spend time shopping for someones food is ridiculous. I can stand on a street corner begging and make more in less time.
@@GigTube And I understand that, but doing uber eats combined with DoorDash I clear over $30 an hour easily. I'm not about to be weighing apples and oranges when I can be out there making money.
@@GigTube I’m whole heartily with you. I used to love doing DoorDash for an average of $20-$25 per hour. Then I started with Instacart and it was very slow in the beginning. Now after a couple months, I’m at $35/hour and working way less. It’s more of a physical work but definitely have more free time.
@@YourDriverMike Could you name them? I just signed up for instacart because my daughter said it paid more than Door Dash. Would the Alchohol delivery be lucrative?

Looks like it's going back to how we started. We used to get them like Doordash etc. You saw a batch and it was a yes or no.

There always is yes. I would be concerned if you know that little about a grocery store that you're going to shop for other people though
Hey just wondering about whether or not shoppers have to work at scheduled times, or can they just turn on and turn off whenever they like?
Whenever you want; you set your own schedule🦋.

Signing up for shopper
Hi Mike, thank you for the heads up. My phone doesn't have NFC so how do I transfer scanned items to the Instacart app, again thank you
Thanks
how to create intacart to work delivery
What is difference to the two options of service? I received a message I'm on wait list but could sign up for full service shopper immediately

How do I get to my dashboard?
Hey buddy, have you been receiving the doordash rewards email monthly? I got the first one in January but haven't gotten 1 since. Plus, is shipt any good?
I am in a big city and shipt is dead. Never got one order, ever.
I am new as of this week and am curious as to what is the difference between Item/ Units?
I see this on the batch information and they don't match. Can someone clarify what this is?
Item is what you are buying. Unit is how many. Example Item: apple Unit: 6
What do I choose, if I just want to pick up and deliver. Not shop

Main reason why I stopped doing this. People are so careless.
IC was my first gig economy job. I don't care for it too much. It takes long to find all items. Most of the time customers do not respond to text messages and then are unhappy with the substitution I make. If you want to make minimum wage, work for IC.
Literally as bad as postmates lol. It's a joke. And the Tip baiting is real with IC 😂

@@EliteScentsOnly postmates probably wouldnt be so bad if they let us see the miles and payout lol

I do think there's faster and better money out there with food delivery
