next video is probably related to Survivor Series. As for this one, I thought it was interesting to make. HBK disappearing in August of 1999 is most likely because of that interview I mentioned. Some say he was gonna join Triple H and Shane but I didn't find much on it

Sadly I think Shawn would have ended up losing his life & being another wrestling tragedy if he hadn’t managed to challenge the error of his ways. The changes he made in his life not only made him feel a lot better about himself & ultimately make him a better person, it also saved his life. A once in a lifetime talent. In my opinion he is the greatest of all time, closely followed by Bret Hart.

I heard the summer slam main event was made a triple threat because Austin wasn't at 100%, and he felt like with a 3rd in the ring it would take some of the attention off of him. Now, as far as Austin not wanting to drop the title to triple h, I'm not sure if that's true or not, but i could believe both versions honestly.

Austin was "not 100%" every since Owen dropped him on his neck at 97. Yet, when it was time for him to take the strap from someone-HBK at WM14, Rock at 15 &17, Kurt in fall 01, there was no report of him having a problem.

I’m as glad as anyone that Shawn saved his own life and found peace in the arms of a greater power, but part of the amazing appeal of the HBK of 96-98 was that he was truly a tortured rockstar, living life on the edge of destruction.
He was 100% real and raunchy. His “attitude” gave birth to “WWF attitude” and ushered in the most glorious era of that form of entertainment…Once he retired, I was VERY confident he would never perform again. He was a candle that had burnt itself out.
When he returned, he was a different person and a different character. Now he was “playing” the part of HBK. He had lost his attitude, which was a bit of a shame.
I always say that Shawn went from Axl Rose to Donny Osmond, in the space of several years.

The thing that really messed HBK up was losing titles. He had a major problem with putting other guys over. Its why the drugs and stress got to him. He liked winning titles but the lows of having to give it up bought out his bad side. That's why the second run almost doesn't count because he only won the world title once for a day and its really hard to say you changed when you really got rid of the thing that made you act up in the first place. I say all that and HBk is one of my favorite wrestlers.
