- I caught up with Andrew Hurley, drummer of Fall Out Boy and a billion other (heavier bands) to talk about his need to scratch the heavy music itch away from his main gig, CrossFit, soundchecking with Behemoth, our mutual love of Lars Ulrich and Metallica, Dungeons & Dragons - and much more…not to mention he curates THE MOST INSANE dream festival yet.

this dude is the reason i play drums today.
The drum intro this guy wrote on Dance Dance is so simple and goes hard
My favorite thing about Andy (and the other boys in FOB) is the shyness and humbleness. Legit super talented and so unassuming.
Andy is such a terribly interesting guy, like you look at this ripped, fully tattooed, hardcore drummer dude and find out he is a straight edge vegan who is a massive nerd. Great interview and interviewer.
Officially the best looking podcast out there 🙌
The Hardest working podcaster in the game who also happens to be an amazing merch designer and incredible drummer.
@@Bad_Chemicals702 I love Creg and DB but behave, he puts out two episodes a month 😂
@@nickmilner5078 That`s good! No oversaturation means no annoying inbox spam so I´m always hyped for a new episode, always high quality, always exciting guests!
@@tombuchborn absolutely, I agree one hundred percent and his grustle is strong but you said hard working podcaster which was what my attempt at humour referred to
@@nickmilner5078 ah I got you
I loved this whole convo way too much
My favorite drummer of all time! Hella humble and hella chill. Such a Class act! Nothing but love and respect for you Andy!
Andrew's drum intro was stuck in my head for years!
I’m so happy you slid in his DMs 😂. This is the most I have ever heard this man speak !!! And it was a lovely interview into what Andy’s world looks like 🤌🏾
Andy Hurley (and Travis Barker) inspired me to play drums. And inspired me to be a good, chill, human being.
Great interview! Incredibly engaging on both sides.
So sick, thanks for this Craig
Guy has baller music taste. Love the old school death metal chat at the end
Saw Andy play with racetraitor in a tiny local recording studio in my small town in Indiana a couple months ago. Awesome show, super cool guy.
Best podcast around, looks slick as fuck!
Shoutout Huddersfield
I would love an Andy Hurley twitch stream
Andrew seems like a cool guy. I went to college in MKE and the Wisconsin vibe is super strong lol. I would bet his old house was on the upper east side.
LOVE the video quality. Excited to see what it looks like once it’s in the future room
This is beautiful Craig.
Loved his drumming in E*****r. We need a podcast episode with Branden Morgan
the absolute best pod... look at this quality 🔥
This is still my favorite interview you've done. Andys dreams fest was glorious.
Not a drummer by any means, but that convo abt the ladder fill (& drumming in general) was super sick!
Looks awesome Craig!
Massive metal head here. My first album I ever bought was from under the cork tree lol
Definitely rolled a 20 on this one, another rad video duder
Hey Craig, when you're filming with a wide angle and multiple tight angles, it can look better to keep the same eyeline direction per person 🤟
Yeah I blew it because I was setting up for 4 hours then switching cameras in real time while talking and listening and thinking about what to say next. Producer next time
Andrew legit looks like the Christian brother of Brent Hinds
Oh wow. I've just done my research on Craig.
I saw Stray From The Path here in Brisbane, Australia a few years back and it was amazing. What a champion.
I saw him at a venue in Portland when END was headlining back in march. I was like “that’s the drummer from fallout boy” lmao
Fucking cool episode... And Justice for Lars would be a funny series to see.
Andy is chill and the best bud ever❤
This is so cool.
Trent Reznor, Chris Barnes, Dave Mustaine, Lars Ulrich, Varg at the dnd table.
Ultimate lineup
he loves final fantasy as i love him
"What venue?"
"Idk... stadium."
Craig, coming to you from the future: you won 🤝 And you’re STILL growing and evolving, and that’s what I love to see: actualization after manifestation. 💮 ❤️ 🙌
I seen him sound checking Behemoth and that's awesome
9 hours already sold out! Damn I wanted that jersey so bad
Love this so much! I just keep getting confused by that one camera crossing the line and filming from the other side, maybe thats just me.
best episode ever!
holy shit!!!! this is incredible
Saw Racetraitor in Pittsburgh and Andy wasn't there but it was still an absolute BANGER of a show!
I love a good game chat, seeing as tou have a Switch Craig, Earthbound on the SNES classic app is an absolute piece of a game!!! If that doesn't reignite the gaming fire then i'm afraid you're doomed to own ornamental consoles 🤷🏻♂️🤣
best drummer ever
Mothership is sick!
Camera quality is so crispy it reminds me how shit my TV is
ily looking insane
Craig what’s your deadlift max? We got Andy’s fair is fair
All time? 440lb/200kg, now probably 375/170
I know this is old but if you want to get into D&D an want to play console games Baldurs Gate 3 is amazing.
Mothership crew assemble!
Tell us how the show is!
I gotta know what camera are you using dude? It looks so crisp! Great podcast brother.
Bruh I'm actually upset hahaha gym Joe's is literally a 15 minute drive from my house and I literally did my 10th grade biography essay on him 🤣🤣🤣🤣 one of my heroes was literally a hop, skip and a jump away from me and NOONE TOLD ME SHIT! LOL
Stiffest player ever lol
he holds the sticks weird, it’s his trademark tho
Andrew Hurley actually sounds a bit like Michael Scott. Just me? Idk
You live in an apartment? R.I.P. You probably still eat fast food too. You won't live long.
Wtf is this comment 😂
the DnD thing is a solid content opportunity! Seeing a bunch of metal musicians playing DnD for content would be sick. Even just a one shot. Either way love the podcast, love the merch.
FACTS! Look at Joe Manganiello and who is clambering to be at his table? Plus, he's a massive metalhead and is so good at D&D, one of his characters has been added into 5E story now. Get yourself a good DM and you are looking at huge content, look at how popular Critical Role is?
Hell yes I would be so down for watching that even more so they were having a few jars with it
Andy is so humble which is even more amazing considering his level of success 😊
Is it just me or does Andy sound like Linus tech tips
From the eyebrows down, all I see is Brent Hinds...I'm not high af..you are
This is huge and it looks SO GOOD
I love that he's a gamer too but the moment he said he likes Watain, Andy graduated to my favorite Fall Out Boy member. We could be friends.
Dungeons and Drag queens
This would be good.
Cant say I've listened to them since high school (im 31 now) but i have amazing memories that will forever stay with me.
This is honestly top notch ❤
I think you helped inspire Andy to move over to TAMA!
Y’all wouldn’t even say Chris Barnes’ name lmao
Craig should be DM haha
Love the new setup!
Just finished this up. Excellent episode 👏
@@CorruptHugeManatee lmao its kinda cool seeing a before and after reaction
