  • Short Video on how to disassemble the head of this rivet gun and reassemble it - You can also use a pen or pencil where I used a socket/driver tool.

Saved me with this one, thanks for posting! Didn’t even realise you could take the head apart!

Great simple explanation that has helped me fix my river gun?

Dan, thanks for the video. I borrowed this exact same rivet gun from a friend and similar to you opened the head and the pieces fell out. Not knowing how to properly re-install the pieces I found your video and put it back together in a matter of seconds just like like a rocket scientist!

Thank you! I've used my gun for years but today a rivet shaft got stuck and then I managed to make it worse. I'm going to go disassemble it now! Have a good holiday season!

Bostitch makes one like this, I took it apart and couldn't get it back together. Thanks to your video I will try again.

Thank you! Thank you! I was looking online to buy a new rivet gun when I came across your video with the same problem. I took mine (mostly) apart but had no idea the head unscrewed out like you showed. Now I can finish my guttering project! Much appreciated and super EASY fix!

Totally appreciate you taking the time to explain a very easy job. It seems to me that maybe Stanley needs to improve on this very handy mousetrap. Just saying...

thank you very much for this. i tried several part ordered variations and none worked. Your instruction also works for Stanley 100cg. When i opened mine, some parts shot out 10 ft. Be ready.

thank you for trying. Unfortunately my staneley riveter, a newer model has these annoying screws on either side so you can't just scree in the bit oat the back and finish You need to align the screw holes and both sides whilst holding the spring in. Impossible. I tried for more than an hour to align all the holes. It aligns on one side and then not the other. They make it harder and harder to fix so you have to buy a new one. Rocket science!
