Yep, I been through 3 tornado's in my life time, lost everything. I live in SE MO, and I lost everything in 2002. My neighbors were killed, so I find nothing excited about storms. It really ticks me off, when I see comments, stating how people love storms, very unsettling

Tomorrow will be the 13th anniversary of the April 27th 2011 Super Outbreak. Today is also the 33rd anniversary of the Andover Kansas F5 Tornado from April 26th 1991.
Had tornado warnings in Oklahoma this morning, damage in Shawnee (apparently), and we lost power in southern Pittsburg county.
A surprise awakening this morning.
Potentially a greater threat tomorrow throughout the day so stay safe!

Went up from SE KS to WC MO and the wind was insane yesterday (Thurs). We're used to wind in KS, so it has to be intense to get our attention.

The SPC outlook for yesterday was very wrong. The MAX outlook for yesterday was very correct. Max is the BEST.

In Nebraska as well and we got some strong storms here in York but nothing touched down and no sirens went off but we did get lots of heavy rain.
I'm in Omaha. So far this morning is just cool with light rain. They said if the sun comes out this afternoon, it will fuel these storms. Today seemed like a good day to top off the chargers and flashlights.
@@NoMoreTears64 same here! In class all day which is no fun for trying to keep stuff in tabs but I always have a stream of two pulled up just in case, I love watching weather even if it’s not here, haha.

@@6entity66 yes I am good! I have family and friends that live in Elkhorn and Bennington where the tornados touched down. Thankfully they were not affected. Many others lost everything. The community is coming together to help. The miracle is that there was ZERO loss of life. God is good and we are Nebraaka 💪 Strong. Thank you for the inquiry.

We went to a Wal Mart in Mexican, TX last night and saw 8-10 tree cutting trucks staged in the parking lot. My best guess is they were placed to be able to respond to storm damage quickly~

Nebraska got dumped with lots of rain overnight last night.
This is very dangerous, and a large area is under a severe weather threat, and a possible tornado outbreak can not be ruled out

So why the almost complete lack of tornadoes Thursday? I remember, 20 years ago, when a Slight Risk did not warrant all of the chaser hype we are seeing today. Enhanced is a new category but I well remember more than a few Moderate Risks going bust. Everybody needs to lighten up a little bit IMHO.

We had some good storms this morning north of kc 1.50 inches of rain since 3 am but nothing to bad so far.
if the ingredients come together tomorrow could be a really bad tornado outbreak.
