Vance was absolutely phenomenal as Cochran.
Cant wait to see it I ordered it off Ebay

Nice man, you're gonna love it, phenomenal show. I was shocked at the sheer quality from a regular tv channel, this could easily pass for an HBO show.
Got it yesterday and watched it Religiously You sir were absolutely right! And I loved every minute of it. Takecare Roger
Car Connoisseur
You too man, glad you liked it, fantastic show.
Lol yea it was pretty cool! I mean a lot of my friends before they seen it was bias because of Cuba playing OJ Myself Included but Our Opinion soon Changed lol
Vance plays Cochran so good it's scary almost like seeing a ghost
I don't see it as that close, but rather, it's compelling without being the same.
He's a fantastic actor
Yes absolutely!!! It was a trip.
For me Sterling K Brown as Christopher Darden was scary good. They got him spot on, I can’t imagine anybody else playing him
The only problem I had was OJ being potrayed as shorter than Kardashian
The acting in this series was amazing. The only cast member I questioned was Cuba but not because of his acting - he was great. But everyone looked a lot like who they played except for him. He looks nothing like Simpson.
OptikRise Yes, he's like half the size
I mean who would've been better? Looks wise.
@@kbonh22 Wtf? Neither one of them look remotely close to OJ. Just shut up.
@@kbonh22 None. Cuba was the best and only choice in terms of looks and acting.
@@kbonh22 Okay well look in not gonna argue with you. You pick whoever you like.
They're both wick-edly talented
😂 I was just thinking about that!
haha
Cortney B. Vance and Sarah Paulson should both win the Emmys for best actor and actress in a drama. If not, I'm going to protest and burn down my neighborhood.
Amen! 2 fantastic actors on a fantastic show.
I thought the same thing, they were both outstanding, gave the two best performances out of the show by far.
But seriously, if Sarah especially doesn't win an Emmy, that's just be a tragedy right there.
I agree 100%. Roger C.
they did 👏👏👏
yes. spectacular performances.
John Travolta is a great actor.
+Alain Bruno agreed
+Alain Bruno I like his movies too
+Alain Bruno So is Courtney B.Vance
If that were true, Shapiro would be recognizable in his rendition. Many consider him one of the unconvincing characters.
+Will D I think so. John Travolta is one of the weakest actors in the show. Courtney B. Vance is arguably the strongest along with Sarah Paulson. I didn't like Cuba Gooding at first, but now I think he was a good choice, even though everyone's heights are a little off. OJ was much taller than Robert Kardashain in real life, yet David Schwimmer is a couple inches taller than Cuba Gooding.
Courtney B. Vance -- the most underrated actor in show business. Great actor, great
guy --- SUPER, SUPER PERSON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roger C exactly
😂
Why did I read this in Trumps voice
So is Don Cheadle
Courtney Vance was just incredible throughout the show
I cant wait to see it I ordered it off ebay hopefully I can agree with you Mr Cochran was my idol growing up as a kid
Just finished watching the whle series (not binged). Courtney is absolutely STELLAR. Never once was I convinced that there was someone playing Cochran; it was as though the real Cochran was in the series!
Cant wait to see it Cochran was my idol growing up lol Hey what can I say other than I wanted to be a lawyer lol Anyway I hope he is as good as you sau he is
'I was basking in the Pulp Fiction glory'
Gangster.
My thoughts exactly haha
@@TheJFS123 for a shit actor, Travolta sure gets a lot of popularity... I wonder how much basking he did for " I am Wrath" lol
@@bipskayless526 bro he nailed this series and that's all I care about
You have to understand Travolta's career was completely over before Pulp Fiction. He was this huge star in the 70s and 80s but by the late 80s early 90s his star power had faulted with bombs like Look Who's Talking Too and was no longer a leading man or being casted in anything good. For Travolta, Pulp Fiction was the 2nd coming of christ propelling him back into the spot light and offer after offer for leading man started rolling in again. Also this is something Tarantino has tried to replicate again by casting fallen stars into big parts.
Look Who's Talking made a huge amount of money. It didn't bomb; it was very successful. Brought in way more than it cost to make. But yes, Pulp Fiction was a big critical success for him. All actors' careers have ups and downs when you've been in the business 50 years.
The rich gets away with murder, while the poor ends up in jail for minor offenses.
You new to society?
+Battlefieldd3 Phil Spector, Rae Carruth, Jim Gordon and Ruben Carter (especially him) would disagree with you.
+Anthony VP How do you know that?
I have always said this case was about Wealth and Social status more than race.Jobnny Cochran used the race card to his advantage but ultimately OJ had a reputation and money on his side, that to me often trumps racial and gender discrimination. Even on the series he says "I'm not black...I'm OJ!"
+Anthony VP he never admitted to anything
John Travolta looks like the undercover actor from Team America
I don't get all the comments about John Travolta's face. It looks totally fine - it has gradually aged and filled out over the last 30 years without any major continuity breaks. Compared to most Hollywood people his age, he looks like he's had only minor work done.
Cayden Elliot I think it's because he has always had a rather odd facial shape and structure.
I hadn't seen him in a while u till I watched the show and thought he look awful, having had some major work done, despite the fake eyebrows and hair. Wasn't until seeing this video that I realized he still looks normal with some obvious minor lifts, and how he looks in the show was all die to makeup
@@ajamusic7322 If you've seen the photos of the real Robert Shapiro, he really does have those crazy eyebrows so they were just doing him up for accuracy.
He looks fantastic. Screw the haters. Gotti and The Fanatic both kicked ass
He looks amazing! Some daft comments about how he looks but then again, trolls will always be trolls whereas JT is the legend and always will be! He's gorgeous 😍
I was expecting him to awkwardly touch Stephen's face when he came out.
And to mispronounce his name.
And break out some killer disco moves
+Greta M. "Stephen Calavera"
+Andrei Terbea oh hai Andrei! We watch the same shows hahaha
Lupe Jelena Hey Lupe! Looks like we do :D Btw, have you started adding subtitles to your videos?
John Travolta is...weird. However, I must say, his ACTING in the People v. OJ was absolutely spectacular.
To say it was impressive is an understatement, and it's criminal that he wasn't nominated for an acting award for this.
He was nominated for an Emmy, but lost to Sterling K. Brown.
I thought his performance as Bob Shapiro was freakishly bad.
Dude was nominated for a Golden Globe.
I read this as if Travolta's Shapiro was saying it
@@NxDoyle I thought the same thing when I first saw it, but I felt he improved as the show progressed. Was his performance perfect? Not by any stretch, simply because it got off to a really bad start. But it was pretty good for what it was all the same.
John Travolta and David Schwimmer are AMAZING !!!! I was wondering if I could get past David's character in FRIENDS - ROSS. I have watched every Season every Episode of FRIENDS and ROSS was my fav. So I really wasn't thinking, for me personally I would be able to see him as Robert Kardashian. ... Never even thought of FRIENDS - WHO IS ROSS? - the entire time. I was drawn in immediately. All these actors truly are phenom.
He Is a great actor His acting in band of brothers Is great too
Watched the full thing on Netflix . One of the best shows I’ve ever watched. Every episode was brilliant . Looked back over all the old real footage of the case and all the actors done so well you really believed they were playing their parts perfectly . Don’t usually get hooked on tv shows but this one had me front when first episode .:)
John Tiswell same, I’ve rewatched it about 3 times now and give myself a few months from it and each time it manages to hook me
I agree; I don’t get hooked on shows easily. However, this one was just so well done, I finished it in 2 days. Love the cast
Can I ask, what other shows have hooked you in? Looking for recommendations lol
@@fifabublz17 if you’re in the UK check out the BBC’s true story of a 1970’s serial killer called
‘The Serpent’ .
Everyone I know binge watched all 8 episodes. If not, keep an eye out for it’s future release on Netflix . It’s riveting 👍.
Completely agree everybody was absolutely phenomenal.
I'm on my fourth time through watching it right now and my girlfriend has never seen it so we're watching it together and we're about halfway through
I still see Danny when I look at Travolta :)
janet castaneda i still see Vincent
I see a terrible teenage boy wiglet.
All the actors were really good. But the scenes with Travolta makes me laugh everytime. He did it so well especially when the team voted for Vance to be the lead lawyer on the case lol
😂😂 One of my favorite scenes.
John Travolta's performance was awesome. I loved the scene when he tells OJ that his best option is the race angle with Johnny Cocraine.
B Vance owns that series with his performance
He's one of the stronger ones, though it should be acknowledged that the character he's depicting provided more opportunity as well.
Will D sterling k was phenomenal
I though Vance was going to lean in and kiss Travolta.
Lmao it was weird. I was even feeling crowded.
Trvolta was the man before he gone crazy
what happend?
+jamilskannal Didn't he join Scientology? That's bat-shit crazy in my book. Not sure if he left the cult yet or not.
+jamilskannal scientology
Question Everything lol
Finding religion will do that to ya...
I’ve seen this series over 12 times. The acting is absolutely phenomenal.... And everyone acted their butts off!!
Everyone delivered A+ acting in this series imo, really appreciate the art they’ve created together 💯♥️🔥
The whole entire cast was absolutely awesome in the People vs OJ Simpson. Even Ron Goldman looked identical as the real Mr. Goldman. 😲👌
The guy who played Fred Goldman looked exactly like him. He also played Johnny Boy Soprano on the Sopranos.
Is it me or do they seem more like a couple ? Lol
totally, but then after a few minutes Travolta remembered hes on TV and had to try and play it straight.
+E Boogie yea..weird
+E Boogie yea the way Courtney was all in Travolta's space and then Travolta leaning in his direction as well
They call it "friendship"
@ Mar Kus - I don't act that cozy at all with my guy friends. Friendship my ass. I think Angela Bassett needs to ask her husband a few questions when he gets home
John Travolta did an amazing job, he had his character Shapiro down to the t.
Courtney B Vance playing Cochran was phenomenal. Absolutely well played
John Travolta is so old that his comeback was 22 years ago.
So what?
John Tratolva is the man
His wig looks like one of Fred Astaire's from 1933.
He can fly a plane.
You must be kidding. He can act in any part, & he us always great in the
All star group of actors in the show. It was remarkable acting.
I am hooked on this show. Vance is brilliant and Travolta's hair piece is extraordinary.
i wish they had shown a clip with both the actors in it.
They did actually, in some episodes.
+jadooblue yeah exactly. and the scene they showed was boring as fuck and in no way emotionally moving. what the hell
I'm such a fan of Travolta dude is an amazing actor love his work!
LOVED Vance. He was incredible. And I know Travolta's performance as Robert Shapiro was polarizing, but I thought he was absolutely fantastic. Shapiro was a bit of an eccentric, and Travolta nailed it.
I'll always have a soft spot for Vincent Vega.
I'm not going to lie, I figured this series would suck. I also didn't care much about the OJ trial, haven't lived through it back then. Even 20+ years later, I had heard enough. But I decided to watch this on NF last week, and it was absolutely fantastic. The acting was top notch all the way around.
Both men are such great actors!! Kudos to both!
Why is John Travolta sporting the hair of a 15 year old boy in 1996?
ha ha ha. hair plugs
He on that closet fruity level
Jim Cadogan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's got the Shawn Hunter hair cut
No plugs are gonna achieve this; that's a rug...professional install.
There’s so much subtle shade between the two of them I love it.
Courtney B. Vance is the best on the show
the seating arrangement is bugging me
I just saw Mr. Vance at church on Sunday and he really is an amazing Historian, speaker and person.
Travolta is turning into a young Arnold Schwarzenegger!!
homer alyami 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Travolta's makeup game is strong, but those hair implants aren't fooling anyone lol
Lace toupee
Elizabeth Culver Edwards not even an implant lol toupee gang
Elizabeth Culver Edwards that’s true✊🏾🤣✊🏾🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣✊🏾🤣🤣
@@lct8954 correct
@@JohnDoe-vz7bn yeah..they're envious because they can't afford one. A good rug system is expensive...
The OJ deal goes to show you really never can tell.
+Demauscian Lol .. I was just about to say that.
Goddamn that's a pretty damn good milkshake, maybe not worth five dollars but it was pretty fucking good
TV dinners and ginger ale
John Travolta reminded me of Chris Pine in this clip. Could play his father in a movie, even. The resemblance is there.
I love Travolta'a style in here.
The classy handkie, the sweater with the blazer...👌🏼
Both of you did superb jobs portraying your characters!!!
why does he keep touching John lol
Ramiro Lara exactly🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
If you pay attention everytime vance touches his arm is because travolta is about to interupt so instead of say something he just toucjes him and then travolta lets him finish and then goes on to what he was gonna say
I still hold a soft spot for Travolta... but he needs to go find himself before his time's up.
I wouldn't say it was just because he found religion. That doesn't automatically mean there's no hope. His particular choice of religion, however, is a problem. But bigger than that, his acting, his personality on stage, has lacked severely in the last few decades and I would love to see a flick that he touches on his old self a little. He doesn't seem to truly enjoy his life any more, or maybe age has taken its toll, I don't know. Maybe it is all because of the religion, I don't know the guy personally I just want another fun Travolta movie lol.
***** It could certainly be argued over the reason for the choice of parts, but I could definitely agree that he can/could act but ends up in awful roles and movies these days; more often than not, unfortunately.
+Metalmanmick13 no he found himself COS. He has been Scientologist for something like twenty years. My guess he wants out but he is trapped. Either that or is drove him nutty
+Kamron Grant His son's death took a lot out of him too.
+Kamron Grant I'm the same! I don't know why i still like him!
Always fascinating interviews.
How can this video have only ~142k views!! It deserves more than 100 million views at least! For God's sake it's John Travolta!!!
It's ELECTRIFYING!!!
In this clip, Courtney Vance plays the role of John Travolta's backpack.
Great series! Vance was phenomenal & Travolta did amazing as well.
I think that John Tavolta was wonderful. Vance was in the limelight for his performance and his elegance he is! AMAZING!
Every single actor in this series knocked it out of the park!
I agree. But the guy who played Carl Douglas (one of the two Cochran sidekick attorneys) looks nothing like that attorney.
Well, anyone who still loves "The Juice" is in denial!
I thought this was a great interview!! I am so happy John is back to work and making friends and that he is looking good! Stephen really let these guys steal the show and talk about what it took to make this show. p.s., The People vs. O.J. Simpson is a REALLY good docu-series.
Wish they would have shown a clip of Courtney’s performance as well!
awwww bless John Travolta. such a legend. 👑👑👑
The best one on the show was the guy who played Darden. He just nailed it. Travolta is always entertaining.
Right?! Sterling K Brown is a phenomenal actor. What fascinated me most about his performances is the amount of scenes which showed his face close up, and you could quite literally see the emotions shift in his eyes. That is true acting right there.
Emperor yep. Really pulled off Darden who fame off looking like an Uncle Tom at the time but actually wasn’t.
@@gutenbird He wasn't at ALL. I blame Cochran entirely for that slanderous public image.
I am a John Travolta fan forever! There's no other actor like him.
Sarah did an amazing job portraying Marcia
best performance of john travolta , as shapiro “ ohh god the jury talked less about the o j simpson case than america”🤣
travolta gives the best performance by far...bailey and marcia are pretty good as well. same with schwimmer
i disagree. His Shapiro is too hard-faced. The real Shapiro did have tight lips but soft eyes. The emmys went to the right actors... Sterling (Chris), Courtney (Johnnie), and Sarah (Marcia). Nathan (F. Lee) should've won too.
Just an outstanding series.
Travolta/Vance killed it
Stephen asks such smart questions. Really keeps the conversation interesting
I’m a Fan of John Travolta! “Staying Alive.” “Get Shorty.” Jonny Weiss “Back to Phoenix.” 🎶
Travolta's hair did it.
Both gave incredible performances
courtney b. vance nailed it. he was hilarious as johny he sure had some fung.
Courtney Vance has so much charisma
great interview. these guys are clearly friends now. travolta seems a bit mello. still like the guy.
This was a great show. And these men did a fantastic job.
The acting of Both of them was phenomenal
performance of his life from courtney b vance . crazy
I notice the "did he do it" question never surfaced.
Both of these killed it, hats off to them
They did great making this
TRAVOLTA IS A THIEF! He totally stole that rug from Billy Zane, who wore it in Titanic.
lol
+Papa Woody LOL! Good spot!
+Papa Woody TRUTH
So funny , lol
He has to let it go...lol
John Travolta might be, at his core, one of the most deeply uncool people in Hollywood. I mean he had TWO separate periods where he was the coolest person in the world thanks to the characters he played (Saturday Night Fever/Grease and then Pulp Fiction) and both times he managed to lose it
And Vinnie Barbarino from Welcome Back Kotter
I am in Europe and still have not seen it. I keep hoping it will be uploaded to RUclips or something similar!
i like the collaboration of this duality and dichotomy
I LOVE JOHN TRVOLTA!!!!!
Adele Dazeem!
I love all the different hairs Travolta goes through.
Great show, terrific acting.
Travolta has gone joan rivers on us
John Travolta is such a cool guy, despite whatever the fuck his sexual preferences are.
Yeah! But the dude needs to cut it out with the hairplugs! 😲
VRtechman Bro, for a 60 year old man, I think he looks great.
+VRtechman LOL i was thinking that too. like damn johnny we all know that isnt ur hair line :P
+Al H. I think hes basically a decent guy but how cool can you be when you,re neck deep in Scientology. ... and he absolutely is
+Eric Johnston The Charachter he played on Welcome Back Kotter , Vinny Barbarino was like that, so its disconcerting to see him like that for real.
I appreciate the smart questions and the serous effort from Colbert on the subject.
I suggest leaving politics and president alone, your alienating potential larger audience.
I half expected them to play Travolta (or Quote Unquote) by Mr. Bungle when Travolta came on stage...
Wig game on point!
Vance was so on point.
They both did excellent
they both were superb !!
Two people were murdered. I’m stunned by this celebrity occasion. Talk about the victims.
Yes.
How sickened Nicole’s family must feel watching these two actors and host relishing in applause while expressing their love for OJ
+Field Marshall Fry -FINALLY! I've been telling my husband for YEARS that Travolta reminds me of Chewbacca! Now someone ELSE has seen it as well! THANK YOU! :)
I loved the clip they showed at 5:18-6:04. Although, I feel like it was more a clip of Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark than of Travolta as Shapiro.
