I recently bought the Virus Snow 2nd hand, and couldn't find much tutorials and tips for sound designing on it, I'm extremely glad I came across your channel, please upload more virus tutorials / tips and tricks!!
I can only say: YES PLEASE! Your content is outstanding and my only complaint would be that you could post more often if I had my way but I understand that you probably have other obligations. You rock brother and thank you for everything. Godspeed, Diem
Thank you for your words and support man, I do want to post more content but life gets in the way... that said, I'm planning on posting regular content again, so let's see how that goes :) But in anyways, got some more videos for the Virus coming...
stunning sounds! i think with all the stuff you learned over the years you could maybe even do a burn in noise type virus masterclass. i am sure there is a market for that!
@@olliepsy i mean burn in noise bc he has a famous MC where he goes in depth into the virus, its not all just about the virus but i heard from many people that its their go-to MC for learning the synth.
Perfect, now my Key61 ti2 can get some rest maturing slowly in storage while I conveniently use this plugin in future projects. I highly appreciate you sharing, you just helped me firgure out one of my puzzles. Keep up the great work 🙏
Oh nooooo don't do this to the 61Keys Virus :'( But I understand, sometimes I just run the emulator, it's faster and does the same job hehe. Can I ask you what are the remaining missing parts of your puzzle?
I feel like the virus has such a lush and organic sound. Since using this synth I don't really use serum anymore. Rendering certain waves under the complex modes and putting them into phaseplant also gives super cool results. I think it's a little less precise which gives it this organic feeling.
That's the way to goo imho, rendering sounds from the Virus and using them inside of Serum (phaseplant or others). because sometimes the Virus reaches its limites sound design wise and modern synths can easily go beyond what it can do, it's basically the best both world, you get the timbre of the Virus and the flexibility/power of modern vsts. Also, I'm the same, mostly going for the Virus x)
I remember back in 2006, walking into guitar center and oozing over the Virus TI Polar. I remember listening to trance a lot back then and wondering about the magic of the Virus.
Why would you break it? I actually would love to get my Virus A back, not that I hate the Ti but there’s something about the older ones specially the A that just makes me want to work with it again :)
ostirus can help a lot if you are new to a virus. I use it to copy the setings of a preset as a starting point on the real hardware. very helpfull otherwise it would have taken me years to understand the envelopes. sonically is very good but it;s not like the real hardware. it's a lot thinner. to my ears at least. Also virus hardware becomes a full midi controller of the vst if you are interested!! Thanks for you help, and of course I am in for the clickness!!
Honestly, I didn't hear any difference between the hardware and the emulator, I'm using the Audio over USB feature, maybe you're going through a soundcard or a convertor which is adding it's "touch"? For me personally OsTirus helped me "unlock" the full potential of my Ti, since the editor isn't stable especially if you start modulating parameters via a secondary midi controller (immediate crashes). I heard about using the hardware as a midi controller but I've never tried it...

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm considering the idea of a Virus masterclass :)
But why Burn in noise? I mean is he known for using the Virus?

Please more virus knowledge! Especially ways of using modulation like controller 3 in the matrix etc.

Same but since I never had a guitar center nearby, I used to look it up online in internet cafés and stare at it like, one day I'm gonna get you!!!

Yea more virus! ❤
Please show us how you get the most clean sound with the virus!
Is this synthesizer still available?
Viper says, “Hi.”
makes me want to break out my Virus B again :) wonderful sounds, makes me nostalgic

Are you have a full course on the virus ti i or on the ostirus ?
Could you do a tutorial on that rhythmizer thingy you used there? 🙂
can u pls make a video that explain how to make an intro for your track?

@@olliepsy Yeah maybe. I am using antelope audio. It would have taken me years to learn the behaviour of the envelopes without osirus!
Hey Bro. Make video about clin sound please... 😅
i wanna sell mine, it's useless
I’ll give you $3 for it, being useless and all.
Which model ?
"Free" as long as you're willing to download a pirated virus firmware, which is a copyright-protected piece of software.
Willing 👍
When I first read your comment, I was like, "The software has a virus in it?!?!"
WAAAAAAA.
I had a virus rack that the PSU shat itself, I feel no guilt...
Actually you don’t have to download a pirated version of the firmware at all
If you know what you’re doing.
I own a Virus TI. You have my permission. When the corporate ninjas come for you, tell them it was me.
